Wow @NatureLover that's powerful. I'm so glad you've come through so strongly.
Thankyou for all of the help you've given me and insights you've shared with me.
And I've seen you overcome many challenges - all with the same psychologist I think. A testament to how successful a partnership with a good therapist can be.

Upset by events today. Power plays by people... family and health professionals. I try but what I say doesn't matter to them. Never did. And sometimes I have no words.

Thanks for your kind words, @Dimity . I've been very fortunate to have had 2 excellent therapists (the first one retired) over the last 18 years. I've got so much healing from them.

So sorry that you've been on the receiving end of power plays, @Dimity 😥
No wonder it's very upsetting.
I hope you were able to have a good sleep last night and feel a bit stronger this morning, my friend 🤞❤

Very upsetting @NatureLover . Worse today. It's pointless responding to it. It ruined the whole day. I can't respond to the attacks without antagonising the person further.

@tyme I liked the sound of the 1:1 program of Guided Recovery. I'd be nervous of all group work like Recovery Club.
The recovery club groups aren't too bad actually. You can participate as little or much as you'd like. You can have camera off and only participate via chat.
Feel free to have a look 🙂
I believe you choose a group want to attend, sign up, then log on at the set time. As I said, you don't even need to turn your camera on if you don't want.

I know things are tough, but I really want you to know this isn't your fault - and you don't deserve to take all of the blame here. Relationships are a two-way street and I can hear how hard you have worked towards restoring and repairing... so I am going to encourage as much self-compassion as possible (I know, it's hard). 💛 @Dimity
What could you do to be there for you right now?
And I understand completely! Thank you @tyme for sharing more information.
Is there any other way we can support you right now? 🫶

Yes I've put in a lot of effort but my family member seems quite unstable. I'm aware that's part of their health condition but it impacts me.
I'm trying to do some selfcare but my somatic stress is very uncomfortable. After each setback I find myself ruminating which doesn't help.
I don't know how to ask for support or what to ask for. But your acknowledgement means a lot. I'll try to muddle on.
