I hear you @Shaz51 . Do you think they are trying to 'protect' you in waiting before they tell you things? It's a lot that you are already doing with your mum.
In terms of your mum's future discharge, has anything been put in place yet? e.g. safety assessments, respite arrangements?
I'm here tonight if you need a chat. I'll be around for a bit longer.
At this time, just hold tight. It may be all you can do at the moment.

Maybe true xx @tyme
One assessment was done , waiting for the builder
Not sure if they will keep mum in until the changes are done or not
After today I have the feeling that mum is on the fence of coming home or staying in hospital
With arrangements options I say yes please but mum says no , I will be OK

I hear how hard change is for anybody, let alone the elderly @Shaz51 .
I feel that unless they have experienced the benefits of help they receive, they will always say no?
I don't have enough experience to know what you can do in that case.
Sitting with you,

Yes, communication and transparency is so important - both with your mum and with services. This helps everyone to be on the same page in providing the best care of your mum as well as fitting in with what you need.
All the best,
