@Birdofparadise8 I'm waiting for my brother to finish doing whatever it is he's doing so he can help me move a large pot, so I finished my diamond painting instead.
The chocolate cake recipe I use is a really old one -
Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced). Grease and flour or line a 24cm cake tin and set aside.
Place all ingredients into a bowl and using a mixer and mix on high for 4 minutes.
Pour into cake tin and bake for 35-40 minutes or until the cake springs back when lightly touched in the centre.
I have been cheating recently and buying pre-made frosting but otherwise I use icing sugar with cocoa and mix it together for the icing.

My roommates are playing a video game or something. Roommate one asked two if she wanted to play.
I'm a bit sad I wasn't asked. I do think they are a two-player game, but I wouldn't have minded to be asked. It's not like I play video games, but the thought would have been nice.

@creative_writer I apologise if what I said upset you. I know there are legitimate cases, you for example. And I believe the support should be more for cases like yours.
One of my previous jobs was as a coordinator contracted to Centrelink to get those on jobseeker into work experience/voluntary work, the work for the dole programme as it was called. I got jaded as 7 out of 10 cases were those using the system. One woman in particular used to turn up to her appointments in a brand new BMW and was later found out to be moonlighting as a s*x worker whilst claiming jobseeker. Every time I tried to get her to attend a work placement she'd make up some excuse why she couldn't make it. One time she'd had a tattoo and her arm was sore so she couldn't go to her work for the dole placement.
You're right though, I need to stop being so cynical. Just because I saw the bad side doesn't mean everyone is like that. I for one am grateful I can get something while I am healing and looking for work.

@creative_writer I'm so sorry you're feeling so bad, and I hope my post didn't upset you more.
Do you have anything to help with the nausea and pain? Ginger, apples? My nana used to give us grated apples when we were kids and feeling sick.
I hope you manage to get a decent rest and start to feel better.
Hugs x

Hey @Birdofparadise8 I am wondering why you are feeling sad you weren't asked to play the video game. The reason I ask is that whilst I see you would have liked to be asked, would you ask someone who has openly said they are not into video games? This is one of those times when it is actually not about you as your roomates know it is not your thing. I am not trying to be mean here but more asking you about 'picking your battles' and knowing when you are being left out Because it is not your thing (and they know that) rather than anything else. This world is hard enough to tackle without making those small things personal.

I don't know. I guess it would be nice if I was at least asked. They did say they would teach me, and I said yes to that.
More the thought that counts type of thing.
I think I'm just sad in general. Depression is so loud right now @Zoe7
How are you?

I understand that @Birdofparadise8 ie. the thought that counts but as it is not your thing then I would not ask either. This is one of those times when the Need is not realistic. We have talked about this and the way you perceive things as opposed to the reality - ie. video games are not your thing however you are still wanted to be included. My next question is - what do you alll have in common that you can connect on?
