Yeah I try to stay off social media too @Snowie I know it's definitely no good for my mental health looking at everyone's 'perfect' lives. Even when you know that they're not showing the whole picture its pretty hard not to compare your life to what you're seeing on the screen

I keep telling myself that it's not the whole story.

I hardly ever go on it now and never post. I figure if people want to know what is happening in my life they know my number and/or know where I live. It's like a competition of how many friends/followers they have.

Went to a funeral today. Took mum too.

We were close friends of his wife.

He was in his 70's and had dementia. For the last 6-8 months he didn't know anyone, not even his wife.

Hits close to home. Is that what is coming

hey @Snowie ECT and a funeral in one day sounds pretty intense. it must've been quite confronting having heard about his experience with dementia. you're not alone though, we're sitting with you 💜

@rav3n I was referring to Eve7 having ECT today. I am having mine next Friday.

The funeral was quite confronting. Knowing what is coming with the inability to control or escape it feels very real.

On to my 2nd coffee tonight. Thats dinner!!

Coffee? I LOVE iced coffees. 

I'm trying to eat better these days (new year's resolution? Even though these resolutions never last)... my cholesterol is elevated.

i can only imagine how overwhelming it must be to process this. hoping that coffee is helping you get through, even if it's helping by 0.001%

my day felt weird, going back to work on a Friday makes today feel like Monday. plus its quite hot and my fan isn't doing a great job at keeping me cool 😅

did you end up taking any day trips with H or the kids last week?

@tyme I like my coffee anyway I can get it. Hot, cold, frozen, doesn't matter!!! My kids would tell you that I'm grumpy if I don't have my morning coffee 🤦‍♀️

@rav3n I had been talking to one of his daughters quite often, asking all of these questions about what to expect. She of course was going through it at the time. In a way I'm glad he is now free. It's a terrible disease to pass away from.

Also went with mum yesterday to the gp to get a mental health care plan. She has decided she will see a psych and see if it helps. Hopefully for her sake it does.

It's hard to keep track of days when you are on holidays. Has been hot here today too. The next few days are meant to be in the high 30's. I think I might just be sitting in front of the aircon.

No we didn't do any trips. Both kids have been working quite a bit over the holidays so haven't had time. To get them both at home at the same time is quite hard these days!
