Re: Morning has broken
I'm glad to hear you'll all be ok @Eve7
I hope your appointments go ok later today.
Does your hand hurt at all anymore?
I'm so, so. Thanks for asking.

Re: Morning has broken
My hand doesn’t hurt but it’s really stiff so I have lots of exercises and heat therapy. I’m lucky as it’s healing well @WIP
My GP gave me one of those mood questionnaires to complete as I need another approval for ongoing psychology. She wasn’t impressed with my score but I brushed it off saying it’s s bad week.
GP now wants to discuss me returning to work with pdoc. I’m supposed to return on Monday.
Did you do DBT this week? I read about your pdoc visit and am really hoping the new pdoc is the start of a better future for you.
Big hugs to you and Levi

Re: Morning has broken
Keep those hand exercises and heat therapy up, and your wrist be like brand new @Eve7
I didn't attend the DBT course y'day, due to my slight concussion and confronting/extensive bruising on my face. The instructor was concerned I wouldn't be able to concentrate for the full 3 hours (which she was right about) and we were both considerate of the other participants feeling a bit uncomfortable seeing my bruised face & bumpy forehead. She sent through the notes and videos they were going to watch during the session, so I'll get to that over the weekend most likely. I'm still suffering bad headaches & feeling a little woozy, not able to concentrate for long periods of time.
I had to get another mental health plan the other week and probably had the same questionnaire. My results were all on the 'highly depressed, anxious, SI' end of the scale. The GP at the time (not the new fabulous one I've found), just said 'Well you certainly need to keep continuing with psychology sessions'.
Do you feel you're ready to go back to work on Monday? If so, contact your pdoc and let them know. You've mentioned you are able to contact them outside of your apppintment times.
If you don't feel ready to go back Monday, maybe take the extra week until you are ready.
Youve got options lovely @Eve7 and go with the option that is best for you at this point in time.
I took Levi to the doggy park this morning before it got too hot & he's flaked out on the lounge. Funny little fellow.
Big hugs

Re: Morning has broken
I saw GP and hand therapist this morning @outlander and I’m now curled up on the couch watching house Reno’s on tv.
I’ll do some housework soon and do a cull of my clothes.
@WIP I spoke to pdoc after ECT yesterday and he wants me to try and go to work as he thinks the longer I’m off the harder it will be.He says he doesn’t want me to get into a pattern of spiralling every time something goes wrong in my life which has been happening.
Pdoc thinks I should be using more of my “self care” strategies instead of spiralling.
Just have to put on my “big girl pants” and change my thought patterns....not easy though.

Re: Morning has broken
@Eve7 I totally agree with your pdoc - the longer you are off work, the harder it is to return.
I was starting to look for work when covid hit last March & with the lockdowns in Vic, it was pretty impossible for me to find work. And as your pdoc said - every time something went wrong last year, I spiralled into negativity & further depression. This went on all last year & is still happening now. If only I could have gotten back into the workforce last year - I continually torture myself with that question!!
Get back into the office, mix with colleagues, stimulate your mind and distract yourself from spiraling.
I believe in you @Eve7 . You can do it!
I wish I had the opportunity you do.
It will be easier than you are thinking - put those big girl pants on, shine that beautiful Eve smile and personality, you'll quickly realise how much you missed it.
Good Luck to you my friend 🦋💙💙🦋
