Hello @Blackcloud . I'm glad it went well and you are doing ok.
Take it easy and only do what you feel you can at the moment.

@Gremlin24 since I’m currently studying I.T at uni, I hate how there are certain softwares we need to download that are only compatible with windows laptops/computers. As someone like myself that only uses a MacBook, I find this to be really annoying - as that would mean I’ll either have to get an external hard drive (which I’ve already made an online purchase it as I’m still yet to collect it from the store) or get a windows laptop 😑 I’ve never used an external hard drive before so I’m gonna see how I’ll go with using that when I connect it with my MacBook and a windows computer at uni. Have you ever had to use an external hard drive before?
@rav3n @Jynx just wonder if any of you guys here have ALSO used an external hard drive before? 😅

Oh that's frustrating @Blackcloud . I have an external hard drive and I've used it.

That’s great @Gremlin24 @how do you use it in order to connect from one device to another?
There’s like a cable where one side should be connected to the designated device and the other side connected to the other designated device right?

@Blackcloud most now days are plug and play, so you plug it in put what you need to on it and then plug it in to the other device that you need that stuff onto.
I'm not great at explaining things, i used to be tech savvy but trauma has impacted my abilities and what I know now. My computer is still running on Windows xp so it's ancient.

@Blackcloud you will have to format the hard drive to be compatible with both windows and mac. I think there's only a couple formats that allow this - I think the one you want is exFAT!
Google 'formatting hard drives for mac and windows' for the instructions, it's usually pretty easy 🙂 Just make sure you do it before copying any files over! Cos formatting erases the hard drive.

@Jynx thanks so much for that! I’ll definitely be looking at the instructions, and gosh - things seem to be so hard when it’s your first time ever doing it so I hope I’ll be able to find it easy as I keep doing it after I start using the hard drive that I’ve just bought from JB Hi-Fi 😄 I hope I won’t struggle with it so much 😭

@Blackcloud technology can be suuuper intimidating, esp when you haven't used a particular process before!! There is likely some youtube videos with instructions too, if you like having the visual aid! Good luck 😋

@Jynx how are things going with you by the way?
I got my wisdom teeth (only on my right side) removed yesterday & im so glad it’s already passed 24 hours since the surgery/procedure. I wonder what I plan on eating tonight....
im gonna be getting the ones from my left side removed next month
and I hope that I can keep up with all of my classes this semester & not fall a bit behind on them… - I just had to take a few days off this week because of the surgery and I’ve already emailed all my lecturers about it along with the medical certificate
