I've got a bachelors degree in psychology and another in education. Did I like it? No lol.
It was boring. @Blackcloud
I enjoyed my masters though. Masters was so much better than bachelors.

@Jynx Woohoo, congrats!!
It’s been alright. I can’t wait for Wednesday to come since tomorrows gonna be the last day of this extreme heat we’re about to have 3 days in a row now.
I have Korean classes at 6pm tonight and it’s my second class. I think I’m gonna be ordering something from Uber eats after that but we’ll see.
School starts next Monday for me haha, idk how to feel about it now that it’s a week away. 🥲
How’s your day been?

@Blackcloud omg the heat has been soooo gnarly hey. I have been hiding in the air con the whole time haha not looking forward to the bill.
Sounds awesome!! Time for some Korean BBQ haha yummm
Not too bad, just been pottering about trying to get my house in order for an upcoming inspection. I swear it makes me feel like I'm 8 years old again and my mum is coming up to make sure I've cleaned my room 😵

@Jynx oh nooo not the bills 😆
lol i just ordered Korean food through the uber eats app just then and now I’m waiting for it to arrive so that I’ll eat a bit of it hopefully before class starts in 27 mins 😋😋😋
ohh I see, but at least tidying up our rooms can also be good for our mental healths than leaving our rooms all messy right? 😆

hiya @Blackcloud just catching up on your last few posts!
about the interpreter - i think you can request one but it would be an additional fee (Counselling | Relationships Australia Victoria), definitely double-check this though. and i'm really glad to hear you got to speak with someone at Orange Door who could really relate to your experience!! sounds like she was able to validate a lot of your feelings. also great that you were given a long list of advice from the legal peeps - now you know that if your fam does force you into marriage/moving overseas for marriage, you can call the police for support.
also hear you about those cultural clashes around dating. i guess there's a range of factors that influence why people want to date within or outside their ethnicity, and for you, living in Australia has probably meant having a different view around dating to your parents/aunties/uncles. i think a lot of it comes down to reputation/societal expectations and fear? in my experience at least, i know that my parents want me to date/marry someone from the same ethnic culture as me because 1. similar cultures/language means easier for us to understand each other, 2. because they're not really familiar or close to other cultural groups themselves (all my parents close friends are brown people... whereas my sister and i have a multicultural group of friends), 3. they're worried about what others in their community are going to say about them if i marry someone outside (some of my dad's siblings didn't attend my cousins engagement because my cousin was marrying outside of our ethnic group... this INFURIATES me but i can see why my dad wants me to date within my ethnic group, he's scared his siblings will mistreat me & my family the same way).
being the new generation... i'm guessing maybe you're like me and you don't care about the reputation side of things too much. i just want peace lol i don't care about the guy's ethnicity, realistically the ethnicity isn't going to determine whether he's a good person or not. anyways sorry for rambling about hehe, HOW ARE YOU!!!??

@Blackcloud oh yummm what did you get? Been a minnit since I've had Korean food and honestly Bulgogi goes SO HARD.
I totally know that it is helpful to have a clean space haha but can I actually keep it clean? Remains to be seen 🤣
