im back..... i think

Re: im back..... i think

Aww @Former-Member i cant squeeze your hand too tight i dont want to give you my pain but if you dont mind can i still hold your hand- i have a feeling you wouldn't tell me if was squeezing too tight

@Owlunar ❤ ❤ can i hold your hand too? Not too tight i dont want u in pain either and your another that probably wouldn't tell me if i was squeezing too hard either.

Its weird i want something to explain why im so sick and when they dont i get the impression they think im lying or over exagerating
And to an extent they are making me question it myself.
Trying the 2 hot water bottles tonight hopefully itll help with the pain

Re: im back..... i think

@Owlunar I can really relate to what you said.

I had 2 emergency bowel surgeries within 2 days because the 1st operation went terribly wrong (16 days in hospital.

I almost died twice (they told me).

Then a 3rd reversal surgery 6 months later - to reconnect my bowels & get rid of the stoma & bag.

The things that some people said to me in hospital (whilst I was in excruciating pain) - seemed so callous & were just plain ridiculous...

Re: im back..... i think

Oh wow @Adge youve had a rough trot too!

Re: im back..... i think

@outlander You can sure squeeze my hand - as hard as you like - virtual hand-squeezing doesn't hurt one little bit

@Adge - You have been through it all too - one reason I totally understand Outlander is that when I was about her age I had a mysterious stomach problem too - and eventually they took out my appendix - and it was really bad - so yeah Outlander - get them to check you for appendicitis

Really - I feel like fuming - luckily my damaged spine shows up on the MRI so clearly - no one questions the pain I am in now - but I went through a rough time at the beginning - because people can't see the invisible they try and make us think we have the cheese sliding off our cracker - so bad

But we are here - if one thing could come out of my back pain for a positive thing it is to assure people that just because people can be addicted to pain killers it doesn't mean everyone is - and pain needs to be examined and treated - it is as much of an emergency as anything else

Keep on keeping on Outlander - I hear you

And Adge - that was really something - wow - really bad

Re: im back..... i think

Then ill be squeezing it @Owlunar and @Former-Member too
I cant believe this. Ive never had it this bad. Ive had a stomach ache from stress but this is worse. Its not localised to one bit anymore its literally the whole stomach and sonetimes my chest cramps up from it too and my back is really tight too.
I kinda just want my stomach to explode it might hurt less .
I cant get in to see my gp now until next week. Not sure if ill wait that long.

Re: im back..... i think

@outlander

It sounds really bad - do you think it's going to be okay through the night? - or do you think it's worse than that?

Is it something you can handle?

Just because people were looking for cysts in your ovaries or whatever doesn't mean that your appendix isn't playing up

You can ring the National Home Doctor to get him to come and look at it - the number is 13 SICK - or try Nurse on Call - but really - if it's this bad if feels like bursting you can call an ambulance and get them to examine you

Only you know how bad this is - I can only look back on my own experience of living with a grumbling appendix for years and I remember how bad that pain was

I also know that you are afraid - and I would be too in your place - but I can tell that this is real from the way you are writing about it - it sounds so full-on - and starting to move around your tummy the way it is - yeah - appendix pain starts around the navel and then moves into the right groin - but it seems as if the stress you are naturally feeling is tightening up your muscles

Also I am thinking that you wrote somewhere that you had something to eat and your vomited.

This is your choice - I am supportive either way and not in any kind of hurry atm - so hang onto my hand - dem bones is arthritic but a virtual squeeze hurts not one bit

Re: im back..... i think

No @outlander - you can't wait until next week in this much pain -

It's better to get help before that rather than wait for a medical emergency -

Re: im back..... i think

Ok ive booked in too see another gp tomorrow at 9 30am so im going to try to hold off till then @Owlunar
My gp today didn't feel around or anything she just said its stress
My gp wants me to get bloods but its not urgent not till after my exam on wednesday.
Ive got radio dr on call as well so if i need to or ill go up to the hospital if it gets worse. Atm its holding steady with the pain. Yes bad but not worsening.
And yes im.bloody terrified
When i said to her i hate blood tests it was almost mocking me like a baby when she said take someone in there with u and when i said i font have anyone it was like omg you baby.
I feel worse when i eat even if its healthy. It doesnt come back up though thankfully
Yes Dec im glad you have 2 hands cause i think my grips getting tighter

Re: im back..... i think

Thanks @Owlunar. Thanks @outlander - yes I really do understand & empathise with what you're saying.

I feel like I've been in the wars (as the old saying goes) - with a huge scar (25 centimetres long) & a pudgy tummy from the surgeries (to show it)..Smiley Tongue
