Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

I was learning about bee dances, more than social dance at 15. No wonder I am nerdy.

@Exoplanet @Sophia1

Thanks for making my day.

I can take that one step further ....I thought bee dances map was a fantasy from the very creative mind of @Exoplanet

So either I was not paying attention.... for we did not have that subject...I don't think so anyway...

or possibly; more than likely..

I was day dreaming...

Ha ha @Sophia1 Year 11 Biology.

You probably took a different stream.

I did go to about 3 dinner dances.

@Exoplanet is a keen observer of the natural world, there may have been a lil creativity involved ....

I intended to respond and was misdirected...distracted...all of the above..

I have been outstretching my support..

I will start from now stepping back..

Concentrate on a few people on other threads..

Put some imagination time back into action..

hope that you are feeling and coping as best as you can.

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Yawn..........

stretch my arms as high as I can reaching for the sky all above me..

(in the northern hemisphere in summer it stays light as in daylight until about 11pm)

I found a secret way to the turrets ..... many many winding stairs...

ssh ..don't breathe a word to anyone...

I can see across the grassed land out to the woodlands...then when I climb back down the very winding staircase; sneak through a tunnel; I find another very winding staircase...

I learn that this is the way to access each turret...

I am in seventh heaven...

I have been away from my room unnoticed for hours...

I have discovered that they only check on me once after I have been sent to my room to sleep..

For heaven sake who can sleep in daylight with a bevelled glass window within a thick cutout of a wall....

light still travels through...

I have timed my movements around this last check in...

I now have free range to roam the castle at my whim after this time...

Up high hanging over the edge of the turret I look out and see a little girl precariously leaning over the edge of a cliff.....

So how can the little girl with no name see another little girl as described above...

Is she time travelling?.......

Your turn

Is anyone awake?

reaching reaching but not to far so as to tumble from turret or cliff.

The little girl was over the moon with her new bike and rode round and round the castle. She would stop and wave to let the girl with no name know she had been seen.  Dont fall Dont fall.she called. She also felt so happy as she knew she had finally found a real friend.

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Vanessa walked through the woodlands and breathed in the fresh air. She noticed the flowers blooming and the bees busily collecting the nectar. As she turned a corner there was the road that led up to the doors of the old castle that sat close to the cliffs. There was a bounce in her steps. She was excited to meet her new student but there was a mystery to her also. The little girl came with little to no information, not even her name. She walked up the road lost in her thoughts. As she looked up at the castle she thought she saw movement in one of the windows but it was hard to tell. She stood at the doors for just a moment before knocking. The Professor opened the door to her.

"Hello Sir" she said "I am Miss Vanessa, come to stay for the school term to teach the young lady!"

"Yes, we have been expecting you, let me show you to your room." He said

They walked through the entrance way and into the grand foyer. They went up the curved staircase and down long corridors to the servants quarters. They finally came to a closed door.
"This will be your room." The Professor said. "I will expect you to be at dinner at exactly 6pm." And with that he was gone.

Vanessa entered the room. It was pleasant enough. A bed, a chair and a closet with a small ensuite bathroom attached. There was a small window which overlooked the kitchen garden. She looked forward to dinner when she would meet her new student.4BC31CF6-C8F0-461B-B549-B61FCFC20170.jpeg

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Dear @Sophia1

A postcard from Flax.

Things sure are quiet atm on this thread. We all must be taking a breather. Cool, I can do some Sooty things...usually involving mischief and mayhem.

I've been on a bit roller coaster with MH so I tend to hibernate when things get bad, so haven't been around much either. Cat Sad

But there is new Sooty adventure. So had to share Sooty's new friend called a Dryad in the post below.

Haven't been following the thread, so this Sooty story doesn't really relate to anything - its just a set piece about a new Sooty mythological friend.

I gather people are taking a break or doing other stuff.

Amusing; I'm about 2 weeks behind what is going on, but I'd like to keep the Selkie as a Sooty friend - just for specific Sooty stories.

I hope everyone is traveling well, or at least coping.
