Hi everyone! This is my first ever forum post so do hope it lands where it’s meant to 🤣
Most days, I like to find a highlight 😊. Usually, that means during a walk with my dog, I try to spot something different, something cool or something that brings me some happiness. Whether it’s something big or small, it doesn’t matter. A highlight can be anything!
I love taking photos and would really like to share and see what you've come across. Something that made you smile, sparked your interest, or simply caught your eye. For me, it’s all the little things that count on the hard days.
To start, I’d like to share these beautiful birds I came across today. They like to appear like branches of a tree or the tree itself. They are called Tawny Frogmouth’s. Has anyone else seen these types of birds? My pics below -(hopefully not too small to see two in the tree on the left pic).
What have you seen today? ☀️💛🙏

Oh, great picture. It took me a minute or two to spot it.
I went out and sat by the ocean today. There seemed to be a lot of boats out. Watching the world go by was kinda the highlight.

Hi @Ainjoule lovely to meet you, thanks so much for your reply on this thread 🙏.
The beach is amazing isn’t it. Was it a nice sunny day? Looks like it was a busy day on the ocean, what kind of boats were they?
Thanks again for sharing 💙, oh and yes those birds are super easy to miss when walking past! They are funny things, they just stand there thinking you can’t see them 😂

Hey @Chasingsunsets
Lovely to meet you too. I was near a port, so two of them were actual cargo ships...one was leaving and one was arriving. There were the tugboats guiding the ships in and out. But there were a strange number of smaller boats, maybe fishing (although I'm not sure you would want to eat fish from near a port). It was a pretty glorious day, not terribly hot, but sunny at least. Better than the rain we have been having.
Hey @Bunniekins
That sounds like it would have been awesome to see your children! And to have one of them cook, even better.
