Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

I'm glad some of your Roast was still edible @TAB Most of my Cannelloni was still edible - Black charcoal on top....

Good on you for getting that 2 weeks work.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

I am "Still Kicking", as the Old saying goes @Jacques Thanks for asking.

There's not much "Kick" left in me at the moment.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Well haven't done it yet but am strategising lol @Adge thanks

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Well they need to pay you more...

accommodation...food..

petrol money? or do you claim that through tax?

That is a long drive ...now you know what I am going to say next dont you...

watch that back...stretch before and after...rest...

yes yes husband tells me that I nag..

I call it caring...

@TAB

a change in scenery is always good...

a drive there and back...good music playing...2 weeks away from home...

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Very good to hear Bella @Appleblossom

I pushed myself forcefully out to meet up with 4 carer friends..

went to two separate places ...interesting...

last one quaint and quirky...nice food options...

healthy without being over the top ....

we always laugh together...relief...

we are all carers

feel lifted out of a bad place

might consider it as achieving some self care....

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Its work ute although driven my own car to site past there before (and its never been the same) am toying with idea of buying a couple jerrycans so I know I can just Leave if it gets that bad. Last time I left had to go in and get fuel to get out of there lol with angry unreasonable boss from day before looking all sheepish. He knew it was him.. @Sophia1

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

oh no @Adge

That happened to me the other night I had been carefully slow cooking for four hours a whole piece of topside in a home made goulash type sauce with fresh vegetables added..

all smelling nice and inviting

then friend met today was texting me back and forwards...

When eventually went back to food meat burnt on bottom of pan...

Husband was quiet...next day carefully asked...you know that meal that you cooked last night was that burnt slightly..

my answer yes...

subject ended laugh..

I hope that you did not manage to destroy the curried egg sandwich...

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

oh well now I can tell husband it was not my fault that the meat was burnt

it was something in the air...

it also happened to two of my virtual friends....

@TAB @Adge

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

oh that is not good..

can you connect with someone else going there along the way somewhere..

@TAB ?

get the boss to guarantee lift home if work ute.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Curried Egg Sandwich (+ Egg & Mayo) were consumed so quickly @Sophia1 That there was no chance of them getting burnt....
