My Younger Daughter was supposed to be at a friend's early-Halloween party tonight, but backed out because she wouldn't know most of the people, and didn't have a "proper" costume. So the intended dinner for two is officially upsized to serve three. "If in doubt, add veggies" is my motto!

Speaking of veggies- having just grated a fair sized sweet potato, I might bring Sweet Potato Latkes to the table. 🙂
When I was a kid, my Mum made these with regular potatoes, and we called them "Mock Fish". We'd generally eat them with a blob of tomato sauce on top.
As an adult, looking for the recipe, I found them as "Kartoffelpuffer", which I think is German for "Potato Puffs"? And also found them under their Jewish name of "Latkes"... and they're not all that dissimilar to Japanese "Okonomiyaki". So they're a very international delicacy. 😄

(They're also good supper table finger food if we're dancing tonight?)
