Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Hi @CherryBomb
How are you? I'm ok tonight. Getting our house ready for first open for inspection tomorrow and Sunday. I'm feeling excited but anxious and emotional.
Not eating tea tonight. Don't feel hungry. Might just have a cup of tea.

Hi @Former-Member

no he's good with stormy weather.. he doesnt bark at all really. i think because he had a few different homes before we got him from the welfare league that he doesnt really have that protective instinct about his home maybe. but hes the most relaxed and sweet dog, very lucky with him (aside from his preference for eating remote controls and other plastic things!)

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Yeah I can't get over the remote control obsession he has. That would do my head in @Former-Member. I think all rescues that have been well rescued turn out to be beautiful loving animals. They are very loyal. Mine is very sooky at the moment while I have been so unwell. He won't leave my side...and I mean my side...he has to be touching me 24/7 even in this heat and then pants because he's too hot but still won't move from me. I wish I lived closer to a secluded beach so I could take him for swims more. He loves water.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

@Former-Member sorry if you have mentioned this before, but what type of dog have you got? Is he a retriever of some sort?

@Former-Member Ooo that sounds amazing! Megalong Valley and Mt Solitary are stunning. I'm not much of a hiker (actually struggle walking to get to most climbs!), but my partner is trying to convince me to an overnight hike out to Mt Solitary.

@BlueBay, I'm doing good! How are you? I feel like its been ages since we chatted last.

Wow @Shaz51 sounds very tropical where you are. We've just opened up the house to let the breeze of the cool change in. Think the rain is going to settle in for the rest of the weekend. Think a lot of mountain folk are in need of a good night's sleep after the week of hot weather. Do you sleep well when its hot?

Hi @Shaz51

hows your throat and the reflux going? hope youre feeling a bit better.

@Former-Member thats lovely, this dog loves the kids, he's pretty well glued to them when they're home. but he stays nearby when its just me 😞 he misses the kids

Hi @BlueBay good luck with the house inspection. Thinking of you.
Glad your feeling better @Shaz51. You've had loads of rain up there.

Re: The Weekly Friday Feast

Overnight hikes are THE BEST @CherryBomb! I love feeling like I'm part of nature, sleeping out in the bush, getting your water from streams, moving though the landscape. Bliss.
