Re: Tabalugas

@Glisten

Woohoo!!!

Re: Tabalugas

Hello @Historylover yes fridge got here! Thanks for asking. It was the right size. I did measure it beforehand when I read the specs online but its an unusual color - a yuk looking metallic grey (its really yuk trust me) which is why possibly it would not sell. But I don't care, got a mega size fridge at a very competitive price for 30% off from a good brand - LG.

Many of the fridges my size fridge is sell for $1200+ elsewhere. Its impossible to get a fridge that size for the price I paid. I got mine for $730 including coverage of around $80. I have been able to pay for half of it and the rest will be Paypal Pay in 4.

Its highly energy efficient too going by the number of stars on the label!!! I did read a review someone got from CHOICE Magazine indicating it was a great little fridge and also in terms of energy efficiency. So I got the warranty plus my 3 year insurance coverage. I know if anything goes wrong I can get it fixed at no cost to me.  Plus they will pay for spoiled food if the fridge breaks down.

I have sent my invoice across to officeworks for printing and put it in with my records.

Yes well done re: clock receipt! See how you go with your clock. If it doesn't work you can always take it back as you have the receipt. I'm like that  too, always hanging onto receipts/invoices.

When they took away my fridge it was leaking water all over the floor. Glad its gone. I think I made the right decision buying this fridge when I did. Well fingers crossed as they say. I just hope I have no trouble with it. I did buy when it was during a transit for eyeing a good commercial deal.

Re: Tabalugas

@SmilingGecko  you have achieved my goal of regular solid nights sleep and an energised early morning.

Seems like a simple thing to do, but not for me.

Re: Tabalugas

Hello @StuF @Glisten not doing anything today. Just vegetating. May listen to some Quartz Crystal Bowls frequencies to decompress. Found them on you tube which I downloaded onto my ipod. Can do a soundbath for free instead of going to an event. I did attend a Quartz crystal bowl meditation soundbath once and it was incredible. Would love to do it again but just putting headphones on and listening to a you tube track does the same thing!

Re: Tabalugas

Hey @SmilingGecko

Gotta go to work this afternoon, but it should be ok. Only a couple of hours anyway

Re: Tabalugas

@SmilingGecko  I’ve always wanted to do a weekend silent retreat at a Buddhist temple.

There’s so many crystal bowl frequency applications on YouTube, which one did you download?

Re: Tabalugas

Your fridge sounds a bit like brushed metal, @SmilingGecko? If so, it's very fashionable. After looking at your old one for such a long time, you've grown accustomed to its (white?) appearance. It often takes us a while to get used to new things. You'll be pleased with it in no time. I'm sure it will serve you well for many years. Rather a bargain!

Re: Tabalugas

@Glisten Just be careful with Vipassana silent retreats. Its not such a good idea if you have mental illness. Have seen people with MI attend these retreats and go psychotic after hours on end of silence of no-mind and then you get no support from the convenors. They also try to cover it up to protect their public image. The facilitators have no experience with MI and have no training to deal with fallout if in the event of something going wrong. Its ok investigating it by all means, I did, but yes do your due diligence.  Sometimes in the past I would practice a day of silence by not speaking or having any mental or visual stimulation all day and the resistance was great. It did have a powerful impact just doing small micro sessions at home. I could not imagine what Vipassana would do to my mind. Just be careful. Not wanting to deter you or scare you just exercise care to what you choose to do.

Here is the you tube channel I use for downloading Quartz Sound Baths onto my ipod: https://www.youtube.com/healingvibrationsmedia
