umm @Bill16 unless it has had a rebuild in the last 50k no, the engine would be knackered. boxer engines are a  bit iffy in that km range.

@Bill16 @Jacques  cars a money pit. bought vz 2015 with 158ks on it for around $4500. didnt spend anything except oil and filters for a few years. then around 200k

had to get new centre bearing for tailshaft, new harmonic balancer, all new bonnet and boot struts, new springs and shocks etc then last year had a door lock play up theres 500, radiator 500 fitted, new battery and starter motor 300 ish, had to get a new dif couple years ago as I stupidly drove over dirt m*ound and hit sensors on gearbox which talk to dif and engine, would sit there clunking like going in and out of gear. mechanic said in the end last mechanic put wrong dif oil in it as was LSD but they would not believe it or bother checking. had brakes replaced, ist time they put cheap pads on front, then got good pads, mechanic said I want to skim the discs...

could have left a lot of these things but rear springs would go down w 3 bags shopping in back seat eg lol and radiator was a precaution cos age etc  anyway should get a few more years out of it now. done 270k now

yeah mechanically its A1 looks rough now with age though @Jacques re my commodore. and as said, didnt have to replace half the things I did, was just that was doing long trips at the time etc
