@TAB My internet NBN and fibre phone are around $80-90/month. Mobile $40/month. Electricity zero now with solar. House insurance is now $70/month and extras insurance can't remember how much that is. Water isn't much. Will have to get gas ripped out.
Have funeral insurance with BARE which is for a cheapie funeral so my brother won't be saddled with costs. BARE is pretty cool. It has low overheads. Its the cheapest funeral around. I looked into it after some places were defaulting on insurance. Yes am trying to keep costs down as cost of living is going to go up more.
Have been checking out this dude Javier Milet who is the new President of Argentina a once thriving country, one of the richest in the world now gone down the drain. He's a Libertarian economist and swears like a trooper, is quite charismatic and is going to instigate lots of austerity so the country can get on their feet again. Sometimes things have got to hurt until they get better. People however vote on personal interest not what is good for the country. He may get voted out net elections but he has established himself as a person who hates the political elite
I used to know someone who was a Zen Guide in that country and that was two decades ago when they had civil war. I used to send him messages when there was only dial up. It was so unsafe in Argentina. The country recovered and now inflation is like 200% so it seems its happening globally hence my reasons for not spending. I'm afraid the dollar will be worth nothing if it keeps on going. They may have to reset the system after the dollar crashes

ah might see if salvos do funeral insurance /or can be executor (?)
yes tale of a few resource rich countries . Norway and The Netherlands got smart and stood up to multi national cartels and put tax up to 70 % on their profits and nationalised a lot of oil and gas . now everyone in norway is born with $400k in super ...
australia get Zero tax from multinationals like BP and Chevron and Rio Tinto is so big they doubled iron ore production when prices dropped so they could give it away to their mates and avoid royalties to australia.
Australia is more like Venezuela and its by design, CEOs pay went up 100x over last say 30 years, everyone else like 2-3x @Former-Member

Just checked out Salvos funerals and its $6000 for a basic cremation and no funeral @TAB. Don't know about their payment plans whether its prepaid or upfront. Mine with BARE is prepaid pay as you go until you reach the paid amount. The money is held in trust and if you pass away they release the funds so your family can attend to your funeral. I've been with BARE for 3 years now since the pandemic its $18.92/fortnight and this is how much it costs in total over 5 years.

$6000 a bit rude @Former-Member if someone has to do all the legwork, may as well just not bother. they can pay for it, they will be getting my house and anything else lol
