if you have no aircon there is something wrong @Oaktree [edited by moderator] . As a child , we had not aircon til I was age 8 maybe. it was handme down portable evaporative /bonaire , was a godsend, was still relying on one in early 1990s ok way later model and in way worse heat. i lived mostly without aircon as young adult til it go too much to bear. Cannot imagine it now, well okay am doing it now , as only have a/c in 1 rm lolo........... and not the one I sleep in .. ok will be sorted soon.

I have never had aircon my whole life. Just used to it. If it gets too hot I go to the library or the shops. I don’t have the money to buy an aircon unit.
