Re: Supporting a friend with terminal illness
No I haven't but a lot of people from work went to her concert in Melbourne and were blown away by it. I haven't been to a concert in years - I haven't been able to stand loud noise for a few years now. Haven't liked listening to music for a long time either - too many triggers. But now that seems to have gone and I'm enjoying it again. I 'blame' you for that. I have associated music with pain for a long time and since you posted Vance Joy the other day I've started enjoying it again. It was like a switch had been turned to associate the good things in life with music and I had happy memories instead of sad ones.
I'm thinking I might stay up a bit longer - the sun will be up in about an hour - and I might put Toby in the car and head to the beach towatch the sun rise -what a way to start the new day of a new year - and maybe the new ME - gonna come with me? xxx
