Re: Share a cuppa?

@Eve7 I'm reading two great achievements in your statement:

  1. Almond fingers in your cuppa – that is self-care because YUM
  2. You went to see your pdoc – huge, don't downplay the power in turning up for yourself like that, it may seem insignificant now but each of those appointments adds up in your recovery journey

@Oaktree would you like a cuppa too? There's an unlimited jug being poured by our good friend @Former-Member 😊

Re: Share a cuppa?

Thanks for understanding @Former-Member @Former-Member

I have one almond finger left @Former-Member and I’m sorry you’ve had a hard day.

I love to help people @Former-Member

Energy levels are low though, unfortunately.

Re: Share a cuppa?

Amazing @Former-Member, me too 😊

Could you start maybe by writing a list of the reasons why you love helping people? Sometimes it's enough to just organise our thoughts and feelings, you don't necessarily have to jump to action straight out the gate.

Thanks for the invite guys. Do you have hot chocolate in your pot? I don’t drink tea or coffee.

Re: Share a cuppa?

I'm on the chamomile tea over here as I don't drink caffeine @Oaktree, but I would love to pour you a cup of hot chocolate...

Re: Share a cuppa?

Hot chocolate for you @Oaktree

I find every day difficult @Eve7

I keep telling myself, I’ll get out there. But, I am scared of everything. @Former-Member Probably sounds silly, but I guess I’ve been hurt too many times.

Re: Share a cuppa?

That doesn't sound silly, not even close @Former-Member. Sounds like you might have some boundaries in place that are self-protective. When we open ourselves to opportunity it can involve a certain level of risk, and that level is felt differently by us all.

I wonder if the benefit in the risk can sometimes outweigh the discomfort?

Re: Share a cuppa?

@RedHorse I'm pulling out a seat at the table with @Oaktree @Eve7 @Eve7 @Shaz51 and I. Would you like a hot cup of something too? So far we have coffee, chamomile tea and hot chocolate on the go but we can accommodate any culinary needs your taste buds require 😊
