@tonys  Thank you my Huckleberry friend. Wherever you are.

Makes the smile everytime I read this.

You are sorely missed by many.

I hope you and the Bookkeeper are well and happy.

Hugs G

curled up in a little ball
letting tears flow
clinging to my teddy bear
the lonely darkness so

nobody here who understands
nobody to hold me close
nobody to wipe my tears away
or heal a heart that hurts

feeling every single piece of loss
the grief one carries through
every single child
their futures gone too

the heavy weight of heartache
the boulder of despair
the shadow in the darkest night
to feel they keep me here

they say that I'm too sad
it's a miracle when I'm happy
tell me to move forward
you try to hold the weight

"get a job already"
my job is getting up
"where the heck's your family"
hopefully far from here

"it can't be that bad"
why don't you go meet them
"you're making it all up"
do you see these scars?

"it can't really be that many"
no I'm sure it's many more
"you're too complicated"
another giving up

"why are you not married?"
"have kids or family"
my heart has not been ready
who are you to judge me

I may not be who you expect
I may not be your type
but I am at last myself
now please shut up alright

@avant-garde your words are beyond phenomenal. I'm monumentally impressed (and completely unsurprised) by your talent for poetical words.

Thank you for sharing, this really moved me 🙌💜

I get sick of all the judgement

of who my friends should be

what stores I should visit

the places I shouldn't see

I get angry at the prejudice

that we're better than them

for all have sinned and fallen short

every human being

I like to think what Christ would say

if he walked this earth today

who would his disciples be?

who would answer "follow me"

who would he reach out to?

who would be zacchaeus?

who would Christ have dinner with?

who would then be saved?

what would Christ say to us?

the ones who preach it from the rooftops

but don't meet them in the streets

to help them to their feet

why would they listen

if all we do is lecture

tell them they're doing it wrong

that there's only two genders

I'm not saying I don't believe that

I'm asking what would Jesus do?

would he scream it from the pulpit

or be a brother to you?

yes I have my friends

yes they're mixed genders

yes they feel different

yes they know my views

no I don't agree

but yes I do accept

they'll ask me if they want to

we're still friends none the less

they still matter to me

Christ died for us all

my heart isn't to lecture

it's to show God's love and more

@Jynx

I feel I'm spamming the thread... but whatever

To be within a flashback

Here let me explain

Your eyes they glaze over

A distance grows between

You hear the voices from the trauma

Your senses they ignite

Feeling every sensation

Like you’re right there right now

Every ounce of pain

As sharp as it ever was

You try to scream but can’t

No one can let you out

You see through your own eyes

To be living the nightmare again

Smell as if you’re there

Somehow teleported

Your life somehow transported

To the day, the hour it happened

You scream while in this flashback

Though you don’t hear your voice

You remain in your subconscious

Until the memory ends

You wake up out of breath

Trembling it’s that intense

Your body coming back

To this reality

Still you feel you’re silenced

No one to understand me

To remind yourself where you are

Come back into the present

Breathe into the moment

Let your body be at ease

To come through this flashback

To relive the hell again

Always unexpected

Never welcome

Until the next time something triggers

And your heart begins to race

Your throat begins to tighten

And your life feels out of place
