Re: Newbie's Social Club - Come make some friends!

Hi @Shaz51

Wow, that's intense! You're dealing with an awful lot there and yet you have some capacity, inclination to pop into these text boxes and whatnot and have compassion for others. That's incredible. The only person I communicate with - albeit over email - on a daily or greater basis, has had both his kidneys removed due to polycystic kidneys. He's doing home, overnight dialysis thrice a week. I've tried very hard to be supportive of this. So, I know a lot of details about his treatments. Don't quite understand all of it, but I can relate to some of the terminology. That said, (I wonder if this will be flagged inappropriately) the term 'fistula' has consistently been a difficult one to take seriously, LOL.

I strongly doubt there's a private chat option in these forums. If there is, I would be open to discussing your kidney situation a bit more, if that would be of interest and potentially helpful.

Having multiple diseases at once is cruel. Let alone major ones like osteoporosis and kidneys. I feel for you and will have to post photos of an experience I am still just about able to get, daily, that helps me through. It might give you a lift. I'll have to pop offline for a while, now, though.

In case I don't get to mention it, I do hope you can find some improvement in at least one of your conditions, ASAP.

FWIW, I can give some feedback about the medications I've tried. Not in any sort of responsibility context, of course (don't worry, mods!). Just feedback of my own experiences that may not be relevant to you. If that is possibly helpful. Or not.

Hi @Shaz51

You're incredible.

Astonishing.

I'm really sorry but I'm now in such a bad way that I'm in a state of severe emotional instability. The likes of which I can't be honest about here for fear of hurting others.

I hope you get some relief from your conditions.

Re: Newbie's Social Club - Come make some friends!

Ohh hugs @Sub-H-Alien and sitting with you my awesome friend 🧡

Letting you know that you are not alone xx

Re: Newbie's Social Club - Come make some friends!

Thanks @Shaz51  for the tag.

@Sub-H-Alien ,

I'm sorry to hear that your post was marked as spam. I wanted to let you know that our system automatically flags some posts as spam. This may include:

- large number of posts being posted in a short amount of time

- the post contains what appears to be a contact number, email address or website they may be linked to spam

- the same post (or very similar) post is posted in more than one place.

This filter is on as a way to protect the community. It means moderators are then signalled to double-check the post to confirm whether the post is really spam or not. Sometimes, this may take longer than expected.

If this happens again in the future, feel free to email the team at team@saneforums.org

Once again, I'm so sorry that your post was sent to spam. I recognise the hurt that may be associated with this.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Re: Newbie's Social Club - Come make some friends!

thank you for the welcome. I'm still struggling in coming to terms with my diagnosis of BPD. but im slowly understanding now why i am the way i am ,

Re: Newbie's Social Club - Come make some friends!

Hi @TOXICONE I know that receiving a diagnosis can be really confronting and it can take some time to process. I'm glad that it is start to lead to some insight for you, and helping you to start to understand parts of yourself a little better.

Re: Newbie's Social Club - Come make some friends!

Hey @Ru-bee, thanks for the warm welcome 😊

I've had a bit of a look around but couldn't find anything and was wondering if there was a specific eating disorders area of the forums/somewhere to connect with other people who struggle with restriction? (Or really anything else on the ED spectrum, I'd just appreciate the chance to talk to people with similar experiences).

Approximately one zillion years ago when I was an Online Teen I felt like I had so many peers who were struggling with the same things I was, but now I'm 30 and it feels like everyone I connected with back then has """grown out""" of their self-destructive behaviours and I'm still doing the same dumb stuff as when I was 12, 13, 14... etc.

Anyway, thank you again for the welcome, looking forward to browsing the forums some more 😊
