Such a difficult experience dear lady.
You are being strong, you have been strong, and you will continue to be strong, because that is your way. The days when you are not as strong as on other days are not less meaningful, nor do they mean you are weak; they are simply days that you take to look after yourself.
When you are able to, you may like to devise a sort of ritual type experience where you remember your old home, give thanks to all that it has been to you and your family. Maybe keep some part to make a memory piece out of? I expect you've thought of that yourself though, being the thoughtful, creative soul you are.

The finality of it would be driven home. I am so sorry you had the whole distressing experience. I guess it is a kind of grieving.
