Re: LGBTI folk

I am thinking of everyone today and hoping you are as safe and as okay as you can be, knowing that this morning’s ‘result’ (whichever way it goes) will throw more fuel on the fire of hate that is already raging. 🙁

Re: LGBTI folk

Its a YES!!!

Re: LGBTI folk

So stoked about the results.

Embracing you all in a huge group lesbian hug.

Re: LGBTI folk

The nation might say Yes, but my family said No... my own family wants to take my rights away. They were quick to point out it was only a survey, it still has to go to a parliamentary vote. They are such negative people.

Re: LGBTI folk

It's a good result 🙂

My family voted no too Queenie. It sucks. My family of choice is super-excited though.

Re: LGBTI folk

@Queenie and  @-Rayne- - So sorry your people are negative. We can't choose our families. But we can choose where to put our thoughts and attention. It is a special day to day for the broader Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer communities and no amount of nasty can change the outcome that a majority of people in this fair land of ours said YES to us and our love.

I am VERY confident that this Parliamentary legislation will be passed by end Nov/Early Dec. The YES vote has the numbers in Parliament.

So, hold tight and try to reflect that despite people close to you being non-supportive the NATION will have Marriage Equality soon.

Equality is a human right. Love is Love.

Re: LGBTI folk

woohoo 🎉

I hope that Australia lets go of all the crappy discussions and finds tolerance and peace for all. It only feels like the first step but a good one. 😊😊💜💜. Love wins. 💜💜💜
