Re: Hot Chips

ooo thanks for the recommendation @Oaktree !! i did a quick google i'm guessing you're maybe talking about 'Mukka Indian Restaurant St Kilda', there's a couple other Indian restaurants nearby but i think that's the closest to park street.

also those hand cut chips look great!! any tips on making them crunchy?? every time i try make them, they end up being a lil soft for my liking

Cut the chips and soak the starch off for 15 minutes. Drain and dry. Cook for 8 minutes at 150 degrees then turn your fryer up to 190 degrees and cook until golden. Depends which potatoes you use as to how crispy they are going to get. So far the best ones I have used are the white star potatoes that I grew myself

Re: Hot Chips

ahhh i didn't know that the type of potato made such an impact, will give white star potatoes a go! @Oaktree guessing it won't be as great as your home grown ones though. thank you for the tip 😊

The Indian restaurant is very intimate. It’s just in a house. But the food is amazing

In 1989 I worked in the building that’s on the corner of St Kilda Rd and Park street. It was Central Army Records Office then. Now it’s an apartment building. So strange. The building next door was also a defence building
