Re: Good Morning!

Yes, I understand. I've had one car which was good and another a dud. I reckon I got the bad one  under a mercury retrograde which is notorious for getting cars that are bad quality. I did not know back then about mercury retrogrades in astrology. Mercury is going retro tomorrow and will be retro until September 30.  I don't buy anything with moving parts under a mercury retrograde.  Just so you know @Historylover.

Re: Good Morning!

up to you @Historylover  re car . they are very expensive these days ie rego/insurance/RAC then petrol plus licence , but doesnt stop me lol. I was car-less prob 5 years twice. requires being in city and different mindset re time when catching buses. Uber can be a good option but have to check prices they multiply in peak hour

Anyway , good luck. hope you find something.

Re: Good Morning!

I'm not rushing things, @Former-Member. I know I won't get a lot of use from it, and I don't want buyer's regret. These things are costly to buy and to run.

Re: Good Morning!

I know, @TAB. It's a big decision. I've made enquiries re price, registration and insurance. I sold my last one because I didn't get a lot of use out of it. I still walked everywhere for exercise anyway, but things get more difficult as we get older. There has to be some pleasure in life, doesn't there? I'm owed heaps!

Re: Good Morning!

I did see somewhere years ago there are places where you can go to protect yourself and your future investment in a vehicle @Historylover I may try and dig it out just for interest. Its so people don't buy a lemon and are afforded sufficient buyers protection

Re: Good Morning!

I checked the budgeting site I belong to and could not find the post I made regarding lemon cars. It was so old. But this is from CHOICE. Its extensive information. Don't want you forking out all your hard saved money for a lemon. The advice here is excellent and should protect you. I know how hard you try and save money. This advice is quite incredible. It should cover you @Historylover from buyers regret

Re: Good Morning!

I'm buying new if I buy, @Former-Member. I think there's a 7 year warranty.

Re: Good Morning!

Ah ok. Did not know what market you were in @Historylover

Re: Good Morning!

Thanks for the thought, @Former-Member. It will just be a small car to do my shopping in—a larger model shopping trolley. Thinking about it. No rush.

Re: Good Morning!

Thats nice. I don't think I could afford the cost of a vehicle with its maintenance and running costs. I prefer being without one as the last car I had just sat in my driveway @Historylover. I seem to get by somehow
