Re: Good Morning

Yeah @Appleblossom

I will keep on looking around, hopefully something will pop up

I hope your appointment goes well

Home sounds like it was the correct option...and yeah, maybe work out the vehicle a bit more before the next drive lol!

Re: Good Morning

oooh @TAB the problem was partly I have not gotten rid of old car yet ... and been driving both ... to use op fuel in old rattler ... and the key was in the other car ... in a way ... it is hilarious now that I am home ... that I am in terribly priveleged position of owning 2 cars... got rego for old one ... and showed son ... so he could see it was a deadline ... for him to HELP me get rid of it.... even if it was driving me back from wreckers yard.  Somehow I been the mum and the dad ... re that stuff.   Now all I wanna be is a girrrrl and be looked after.

I leearned today in wardfile ... that apparently dad told me to throw awway me shoes ... so we could go walkabout ... no wonder I am bloomin conflicted about everything.

@StuF Yes I am glad I have also security of DSP, but I rpefer to be productive and busy... when I am not freaking out.... breathe .... square breathing ... nostril breathing ...

Re: Good Morning

@Appleblossom

If I do lose my current job I've been looking at volunteering at Vinnies for a while, could be the perfect opportunity. I figure the vibe there has to be better than where I am now anyway

Re: Good Morning

Hello @TAB I noticed a while back the cost of wood used for heating in Europe going up - the same is now happening here. Saw something in the newspaper yesterday about cost of firewood going up locally. I bought some bags of it when prices were down.  I intend to use it for my rocket stove if we have no power. There are rolling outages now in many countries and people have no power to heat/cool/cook etc. Sometimes arborists give away wood for free from trees they've chopped down. They may leave it on their naturestrip for people to pick up if they don't have a machine to turn it to mulch.  You could ring around arborists to ask to stock up for next year. I made myself an apricot slice yesterday. Just in from my walk.

Re: Good Morning

well there's plenty of trees around, just on private property here I guess @SmilingGecko

Apricot pie sounds nice;hope it was nice.

yeah theres clips on fb with people drilling holes into pieces of wood and lighting fires in middle prob bit more difficult than it looks to put a hole in it,seems to work once going though

Re: Good Morning

I don't know how high the prices are going up but I bought bags of firewood for $20 each from the petrol station. I will buy more. Should have got more. That idea using wood and starting a fire I have heard of I have a special firelighter that withstands the wind. It uses lighter fluid and you strike the reusable flint match with it and it simply wont go out unless you put it back in its canister.  I got it off ebay several months ago as part of prepping. Just spoke to the lawnmowerman and hes coming by to mow the lawns and will bring some firewood from the servo @TAB
