I dunno what your shrink means but lots of psych patients smoke ciggies which is a way of self medicating, it also sends many people broke unable to participate in life due to "smokers poverty" @Former-Member. The drink can dull the effectiveness of your meds. Plus it lowers your vibration. Best to be clean.

Hi @Former-Member. Not sure what the original question was ? But the questions you posted in the last thread were interesting.
I have lost a lot of friends since developing MI including two of my dearest and nearest whom unfortunately just don't understand or have no patience with me anymore.
But my best friends and half my family are still supportive. I have also developed some new relationships.
As I've said before I find it really hard with no work and lack of structure, contributing largely to my sense of depression.
Well onward and upward, building a better enclosure for my cat this afternoon before the bad weather sets in for the rest of the week - a sort of goal for the day. Trying hard to stay in the present.

@Former-Member a lot to digest, no you are right in what you have said thus far and I 100 agree with you!
I hope the garden beds are allgood from yesterday and that you have a full harvest now or come spring. My parents veggie patch is some what dormant these days, I think it has to be about the time and weather, what do you think?
I hope to curb the drinking but I feel a little lost tbh, and sure the drinks don’t help. I’ll get there, to each his own… I don’t drink daily yet, but have about 5 shots a day 5 days a week, which is about 10 drinks above standard, but hoping to reduce in due course and not self medicate. Things in my life have improved vastly but still having some issues. Let’s not get to the details cause I feel I need a rest from all the fighting.
@Former-Member I feel that family is the only thing that is supportive of me, which I should be grateful for, and I am. Lucky for you too, my original question was I think how’s MI and your life going, which I think you answered. I hope things settle and I also have lost 2 groups of friends due to MI so there’s that. It is what it is
