Hi @Former-Member thanks for the tag. Its been a good start to the day. I am working on netting and hoops for my vegie patch. The garden is really coming up beautifully and looks so soothing to watch the magic growing outside my window as I type. I hope you have an awesome day! 😊

No good @Former-Member I'm sorry things have been difficult. I've had health issues requiring acupuncture. I have an overactive bladder and know what to do to get it under control. Everything else is ok, just getting into the garden more watching my vegies grow

Hey @SmilingGecko that really does sound magical! It is my wish one day to have a little patch of land to grow my own vegetables, so I think you're living the dream 😊What kinds of veggies are you growing?

Hey @Former-Member I'm only new to gardening so its a bit of a growth curve for me but plant shoots are coming up. If you don't have a garden maybe you could use the "Kratky" method to grow vegies indoors, its cheap only requires water with a growing solution in it. It does not require any expensive pumps and is so easy to set up.
I looked into it a while back after exploring hydroponics. I've seen videos on it. Its insanely cheap to get going ie minimal start up costs and the plant yields are amazing. I know of a top health promoter online who had abandoned just about every system of gardening and is now a Kratky prosyletiser.
I was going to do Kratky but can't leave the house to buy the containers I needed plus foam and drills to put holes where the plants go in etc so it was a bit out of my way. I don't have a car to get these things to travel al over town and try and cart these things back home, so it worked out better just having a traditional garden with planters delivered and soil dumped on my driveway from a garden supplier.
The vegies that are growing are silverbeet, carrot, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, leek, lettuce, beetroot. I'm getting more seeds put in this month given the change in seasons 💙

Thank you so much for sharing the Kratsky method – I hadn't heard of it, but after a quick Google I can see what you mean, you can grow some pretty serious lettuce in a mason jar! With living costs the way they are, and vegetables prices following the trend, I think this might be a legit way to save money each week. I'm about to move to a new place (I think, fingers crossed) that has a great sunny kitchen window so I might be able to trial some of these containers on the window ledge. That fills me with happiness, thank you 😊
And it makes total sense that if you don't have transport and you're not able to get about much that the soil should come to you. It must feel so good to get your hands stuck into it and to see those new shoots. I must say, I think you've got a mighty fine list of veggies there – I'd be so keen to hear how the cauliflower goes, and how it takes before you get a big white bunch pop up!
