Re: Good Morning!

Yeah @TAB so I looked it up ..waere das Leben nur einfach... nup ... someone even said life is not meant to be easy.

@Historylover ... love that your battery is doing better than the poor ole phone's.  Tbh I am actually being a bit of a troublemaker lately ... fighting the good fight.... its weird ... spent 60 years people pleasing and fitting in ... and now I am speaking out.  Wish me luck ... I know when to stop...

Made lemon curd tarts from scratch last night with leftovers ... for the first time ... using up filo pastry, lemons and eggs.  Left 3 in the fridge but the fridge fairy came a grazing ... and all gone. It was funny cos they were not in supermarket freezer last week... but looked up good ole internet recipes and I had what I needed.

Always learning something...lol

Re: Good Morning!

Hello @Appleblossom having been nagging a poor customer service rep at Bunnings. Got the information I wanted lol!!! I felt sorry for him having to put up with all my questions. Now got to ring an electrician. Its been a good day for getting relevant info. I hope youve had a good day so far. Glad to hear you are standing up for yourself. Sometimes we feel we may unnecessarily hurt or offend someone by expressing our needs. Its hard striking that balance

At least you're still able to  avoid bloodshed, @Appleblossom.  The blood is pooling here. Typical peer pressure and mean girls among the staff. Us against them. They take out their frustrations on the patients. Tempers are rising.

I had a delicious roast pork salad for lunch. And no dishes to be done.

I haven't got a hope of winning this fight even with knockout blows. They have it in for anyone who doesn't take their disgusting behaviour. I try to keep my trap shut but it just keeps responding.

Re: Good Morning!

Feel like I could use some encouragement, tbh @Appleblossom

I've been another day in bed and feeling powerless

Re: Good Morning!

Hey @Kyle1 you are good at encouraging others.  Sometimes personalities are what they are.  Would not want to change that about you.

@Former-Member Thats what they get paid for.  Bottom line with all those practical things we need to be accurate ... cos getting wrong thing is more than a pain.

@TAB Indeed!   lol...Tho did not know all those extra dirty details ... guess .. it comes with him being a man of the land.  Been in garden ... hands get dirty.   Whats left and whats right ... getting dizzy turning in circles with it all ...

@Historylover Hearing you about the current social scenario.  It is where people are at their most vulnerable which can also lead to some getting their most bolshie in defensive reactions.  Tricky.  My mother was upset that my sister's fiance was met in psych ward.  It is tricky.  I did not get it at the time, as mostly I was trying to understand the plight of those who are inpatient. I can now understand not wanting a child to mingle only from the psych ward.  My son made a few friends from the ward, but only one has lasted the distance and I like him.

Weird synchronicity.  I got a birthday invite today on my phone from a lady ... who my ex met in the psych ward and they made a baby ... as some do ... God I met her 40 years ago .. and she is the only one inviting me to a social do.  Its all too hard for my poor brain to comprehend.  Will need to discuss the invite with son, but probably not cos it is all too too messy now, but it is part of what messed up my marriage and my relationship with daughters, tho not really this lady's fault ... per se.  She was too unwell to look after her child ... all the way through ... protective services involved etc ... but she was never really mean.  On a depot for a very very long time ... but from upper mid class family ...

Also I cleaned a meat blood spill in my fridge today ... yes avoiding bloodshed has not always been my luck... tho, nothing really that I did or did not do. I was too young to have that much impact, tho my existence must have stressed my parents no matter how hard I tried. Just a sad, so very sad side effect of too many people in psych wards.

Re: Good Morning!

Hi @Appleblossom

Are you the 'apple' on the fibro forums?

Feeling a bit jaded? I didn't want to use the user name in case not you.

I think you might like the site. I'll see you on both 🙂

hugs oxoxox

Re: Good Morning!

Hey @BlueBells  Jade is a beautiful green stone and green is my favourite colour. kind of, if I let myself have a favourite.  At moment I have orange, purple and many shades of pink in my garden, as well as many shades of green.

Re: Good Morning!

@Appleblossom

so, it is you then?

I was diagnosed fibro mid 2019 by a friend, and clinically about 6 months later. Has answered heaps of questions for me.

I've been concerned about Alzheimer's and dementia, but seems it's fibro.
