Re: Good Morning!

@BPDSurvivor  I've only had one eye on the footy since the 2nd quarter......Carlton have fallen asleep. Very disappointing.

My plan earlier in the year, was to get back to work after the settlement of Mum's house and we'd moved her into her new home. That job was huge and it was fortunate I wasn't working at the time and able to hep with the project.

Lockdown #1 started the weekend after she moved and the industry that I work in, went on complete job freeze.

In lockdown, my MH dipped and then I asked my Psych for med changes & Lockdown #2 hit and well, you know the story for the past 3 to 4 weeks.

My short term goal is just making it through the day and then working to get my meds and myself stable.
Not working (when I used to be in a highly professional/successful position) has been really difficult to deal with. I feel like such a failure and that I've fallen so very far.

Anyway, getting back to work is something that I'd love to do, but reality is it won't be happening for awhile - due to my health, but the state of the job market, and the uncertainty of covid etc.

Small steps....

I feel pretty pathetic that I can say today was successful because I made it to the dog park, walked to the shops & haven't cried (yet).

Oh, how life changes and the significant impact MH can have.

Re: Good Morning!

@greenpea Hi how are you doing did you get your results today? Been thinking of you

Re: Good Morning!

Good morning everyone have a great day 💙

Re: Good Morning!

Good morning!

@WIP , I think it's great that you were able to go to the dog park. That is a huge accomplishment for you. Everyone's accomplishments look different because their starting point is different. You wouldn't tell a baby they are pathetic because they are just learning to walk - it is their major accomplishment! So good on you @WIP for making it to the dog park, going to the shops and not crying (yet). Congratulations!

As for work, it's probably better you focus on stabilising yourself first and just keep an eye out on the job market to see if anything grabs your attention. It's been difficult for many people at this time. It doesn't look like the lockdown restrictions in Melbourne will lift any time soon.

Anyway, hope this sunny day helps you get out a bit.

Let us know how you go!

Re: Good Morning!

@BPDSurvivor jealous of your sunshine. Thick fog here, at least it's a not too cold 8°.

Re: Good Morning!

@BPDSurvivor Good morning how are you doing today 😊

Re: Good Morning!

@Ant7 ! I'm totally ready to face what the day brings! I can't wait for what it has installed.

@The-red-centaur ... good news! Rest assured, thick fog brings beautiful sunshine! Wait for it. It will surely come! Tell me if I'm right later (wink wink).
