Re: Good Morning!
@Helpmydad I really feel for you all, I can imagine how helpless & worried you all must feel with your grandad taken by a very powerful authority - be there, document as much as you can, try help soothe all your distress as any can be misconstrued as aggressive, non compliant, threatening etc.
Thankfully I'm under psychological care however I have experienced similar at the hands of psychiatric staff - adverse effects to medication prescribed & another incident of tactical treatment by paramedics & hospital staff following a fall which left me temporarily paralysed.
My crying / sobbing, distress, appeals to have medication changed, and proper attendant care had me flagged non compliant and a danger to staff etc

@Helpmydad I can imagine how helpless & worried you all must feel & with your gran/dad distressed his behavior most likely will be categorized as aggressive, non compliant, physical etc.. amplifying the 'control' strategy.
I'v not experienced psychiatric orders as my issues are fortunately still psychological care, however I did experience similar outcome with medication authorised by psychiatrist, as well treatment by paramedics & hospital staff following a fall which left me temporarily paralysed - both occassions resulting in adverse effect & flagging my appeals as negative behavior.
At this time document everything, even your own response as safeguards.
Courage, Strength, Blessings 😇💝
I think my i/net on the blink or I so bad at tech sending wrong places multiple times sorry Sturgeon

Re: Good Morning!
Thankyou Appleblossom for your reply. My dad was living in his own home before admitted by my sister who is his next of kin however I was his part time carer. He had a delerium episode and my sister called out the pyschs who put him on medication which made him worse and they locked him up. Its been nearly 6 weeks and I just want him out. Its my sons 21st tomorrow and he should be celebrating with us enjoying his later years. This is breaking me. Thankyou

Re: Good Morning!
Thankyou I have been recording his phone calls and documenting everything I feel his basic human rights have been taken away from him.

Re: Good Morning!
Hi @TAB @Helpmydad @Sturgeon @BlueBay @Appleblossom ...
Think I understand about your dad. My dad can become very disorientated & confused when he has a urine infection, which is temporary. Unfortunately your dad is likely to stay in permanent care rather than live alone. This is very sad but also very common later in life. I fear doctors have too much power and take the easiest solution. They rarely factor in family sentiment, in fact I'm branded emotional for speaking up. Its hopeless. My advice to you would be to visit him often and help him settle into care. He is so vulnerable conflict will only make him worse. Feel for you though, its really hard watching our parents age. Be strong xox
