Good morning and good afternoon @tyme @MJG017 @Glisten @Meowmy @Oaktree @TAB @Shaz51 @Snowie @Adge @rav3n @Jynx @RiverSeal @Lauz @oceangirl @Historylover @Appleblossom @Faith-and-Hope @StuF @SmilingGecko and all forumites here today. I hope your day is going well for you.
I am having a day of relaxing before going to look at a few rental properties later on this afternoon. I’ve been working on completing a few knitted beanies as well as doing some cross stitching. I do feel stressed right now and I’m trying to do things to help reduce my anxiety and stress levels like self care activities. It’s a bit hard when I have people in my life who live in an alternate reality when it comes to rental properties- ie my sister- and whom feel they have a right to try and control my life as to whom I’m friends with and what I spend my money on. It’s not fair but I’ve got to agree with them because I’m fearful of the repercussions otherwise, such as homelessness.
I’m sorry if I’ve upset anyone!
Take care.

I hope you can find something and it all works out @Judi9877 what a terrible country this has become. 70s and 80s even 90s were so much easier for people with not much money

I just wanted to send some positive vibes your way as well on your rental hunt. It's so hard these days, so the best of luck to you.
Well you certainly haven't upset me in anyway, so feel free to keep being you as far as i'm concerned.

Thats no good @Judi9877 sounds like your sister is dictating your life as an adult. I wouldn't like that if that happened to me. I'm sorry you having somewhere to live is based on her terms and conditions. I used to be a real estate receptionist once during school holidays in the 1980's and even then they made it hard for people turning away single mums and first nations peoples. It wasn't nice. The manager had to remove protest placards from the real estate office windows regularly.

Sorry if I've made a mistake, but are you a twin @Judi9877 ? I vaguely remember but not sure if I've got the right person.
I hope it goes well with looking for a rental.

Hi @Judi9877 I am so sorry to hear about Mitz having to be put down. My condolences and a big air hug 🤗 go out to you. My cat Regina (aka Reggie) had to be put down as she had a cancer at the side of her mouth and in the end she had a lot of trouble eating and lost a lot of weight. I was there by her side when we side our final goodbyes. I was crying before I made it out the door of the room she was in. That is the first time, I have actually been with one of my animals when they have died.
I am so glad that you enjoyed the cruise. Besides the sea sickness of your friend. I went on a small cruise ship for my honey moon ages ago. I was ok while on the cruise ship, but became sea sick when we went in the smaller glass bottom boat to look at the sea life. I remember once I was on land, I was unsteady on my feet for a while and whenever I went to the toilet, I felt like the room was rocking. 🚽🌊
I really want to go to New Zealand. I just love the accent and the Hukka. That is one thing that I have on my bucket list. My best friend was from New Zealand, and even though she had been in Australia for a long time, I could still hear Kiwi in her accent. Unfortunately, I lost her to breast cancer the same year my partner passed away. So I have been thinking that I might go to New Zealand via a cruise ship once I can actually afford it, and I have sort out my relationship status. Were their any single people on your cruise. I just don't know how safe I would be if I did the cruise alone? Something to worry about when it is closer to the time I suppose.
I too love doing Cross Stitch too and now Diamond Dots. I actually now have the time to do either of them, but I just don't feel the vibe, as I really need to sort through my belongings in the cabin I live in and make a spot where I can do either of these without taking up too much room.
I purchased an Egyptian cross stitch to do for my mum, as she loves anything Egyptian. The idea was to do it for her 60th Birthday. I remember taking everything out of the packet, and there were so many different shades of yellow and gold, I remember thinking, that this is going to be fun. I put everything back in the pack and that is where it has stayed. My mum is now 84. I did have a stand that I would need to attach the cross stitch to, but found it a few months ago all mouldy and broken, so will need to look for another one, so I can make a start on it. I might even have a look right now while I think of it. Lol Just found one for $29.04
Anyway, it's good to have you back, even though I have not been that social myself lately 😃
