Re: Good Morning!

My electrical advisor app does the same thing @TAB its connected via bluetooth to my smart meter. Its using around $2/day but at night when the sun goes out the power usage amps up.

Thats the problem with solar power, If the sun is not out theres no solar power savings same with wind if theres no wind, wind turbines won't generate power.

Both are intermittent so its not 100% reliable. You won't get a constant flow of electricity

I realised how intermittent it was after reading realtime how much I was using at night vs during the day when the sun is out.  If its cloudy it won't work so it varies so there is some level of disappointment involved with what these methods can do.

I checked out some fuel generators, Tesla power walls and solar generators recently. The fuel generators put out carbon monoxide exhaust and you have to keep putting fuel in. It has to be far away from the house as possible as you don't want to inhale fumes. That kind of put me off. Plus you need to get to a petrol station to refuel it with diesel

Re: Good Morning!

umm diesel would be a standby(expensive) or back up stand alone plus way cheaper @SmilingGecko  gensets are quiet these days  just keep it away from windows re noise and fumes ok do the @Tab  thing fromSignals Corps

and dig a hole in the ground for it. you wont hear it at all lol. not kidding, waht they used to do with small ones in the Army. bigger ones would drive trailers into full depth/height scrapes  ie top level w ground .. @tonys  re yr bullie

batteries are the problem SG. they are still too dear and not efficient enough , well not the ones you can buy anyways.........

Re: Good Morning!

there was a woman @ shop in kal who explained her solar set up to me once , said power was free basically. um ok solar in during day, charges batteries, then it was just enough to run everything super low all night til sun came up lol  so next to No mains input ............ @SmilingGecko  need a battery that would bare minimum cover max overnight use .. thats IT

Re: Good Morning!

Oh my god he is gorgeous so 😍   I have a soft spot for animals

thanks for that @TAB

I just went in the kitchen and came screaming out, my son came running out of his room thinking I'm being attacked.

But there's a huge spider on the curtain at back door and I'm petrified of them and will not go in any room if I see them until it's taken out,  was about to have salad for tea  but will not go in there and can't keep still

Does any of you guys have same fear, I have the pest controller things plugged into power points but these ones are obviously not working 😕

Re: Good Morning!

..leave em be hey @saturnzoon  my toilet is full of piders  means no chemicals  they do not bother me, jumped a bit today when moved exercise bike first time since assembling months ago lol and was tiny lizard .. anything thats tiny and not a snake am ok with lol ..

Re: Good Morning!

@tonys The fine print suggests—without going over the contract with a bigger magnifying glass in the company of a lawyer—that they are not responsible for delays. So they can pluck a date out of thin air to secure a sale but are not responsible for failure to deliver on or about that date. I'll simmer on a slow boil for a while, but I should have expected it. Such things happen to me all the time, whenever I have reason to be happy about something. There's not much I can do and they know it. Thanks for your concern. Many women are at a disadvantage in these matters.

Re: Good Morning!

Hi @saturnzoon 😄

My Hannah 🐶 is a Cavoodle, which is a cross between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Toy Poodle. Usually they are little curly teddy bear looking cuties. But Hannah takes after her KC heritage more,  so has the straight coat. Very cute though. Yes very loving and snuggly, but also fairly high energy at this 12 week old stage. She is very intelligent and a quick learner. She is currently 2kgs in weight,  and expected to reach 5-6 kgs at maturity. So just a littly. This breed are considered a very healthy breed.

Thanks @TAB for posting Hannahs pic from a previous post on another thread. 🌷

Morning everyone 🌻

Re: Good Morning!

Not overstepping at all @TAB 😄  I'm glad you did,  as I never got a notification of @saturnzoon post asking for info. When I saw your response and tracked it back,  I saw I was tagged there. I would not have seen it otherwise. Not sure why. And these social threads move so quickly,  once you miss 'em they're gone. 😱
