Forecast says 29 today and a lovely 24 tomorrow. Perfect for our little dinner party. Looking forward to seeing the kids tomorrow. We are having chicken tacos with nandos seasoning in hard and soft tacos. The kids prefer the soft ones but I grew up with the hard corn type tacos. My mum just used to make tacos with beef mince. My kids prefer chicken but it’s more expensive. We are going to have cheesecake after as we are celebrating my son’s and my birthdays late. I got candles yesterday especially. We do a thing where we add up our birthday numbers till we get to a single digit for the candles. So my son is 29 so he gets 2 candles and I am 53 so I get 8 candles. It’s a silly tradition but we have done it a long time lol.

What can I say about my car, @tonys? It was due next week but I was getting bad feelings about it arriving so I rang them. I'm told they "got 3 instead of 15" and mine hasn't been built yet. Another month. It seems to me that they just gave an earlier date to clinch the deal and then they just have to 'apologize' afterwards. Either that or I'm just getting the run around. Life is like that for me. So something that would have brought pleasure to my life is turning sour. Needless to say I'm disgusted. Car salesmen! If it actually arrives and I don't cancel, I will post a pic.
I hope all is well up your way, and that you are keeping out of trouble—sure, you are 😉! Stay well.

That’s very disappointing about your new car. I hope it arrives soon for you. Salesmen will tell you anything because they are on commission.

You're right, @Oaktree. Trust is misplaced in a lot of businesses these days, I find. I keep getting bitten. Takes the wind out of my sails.
Have a good weekend. A hot one here in Melbourne, but you're close by, aren't you? I can't recall. 32 degrees today and 37 tomorrow, then low 20s again. Melbourne!!

No I am in Perth. We have just had 3 super hot days. Back down to 29 today which will be lovely. Thursday was 44 here. Got to get some air conditioning before next summer. I have never had aircon in my life. So over the heat though.
Sorry that you have had the wind knocked out of your sails re your car buying experience. It will come eventually and a new car is very exciting! I need to get my car serviced actually and it needs its aircon fixed as that is not working for a second summer. Its all money! Wish I had some lol. Unfortunately did not win lotto.

I've never had air con either, @Oaktree, but I get by with a fan and a heater (and plenty of blankets) without any trouble to date. I'm hardy!
So today will be 32 degrees but this morning is downright chilly. Anyway, let's have a good weekend regardless of the weather!
