Morning @Glisten
So good you had a great sleep. I love that feeling. Especially as I went through a few years of insomnia.
Have a great day!

yeah , dont come across German language on tv so much any more @Historylover I thought Iwas okay or at least understandable with rels , well after month at school and majority of time outside school on my own, so if I did speak, it was in German, i went to pubs on my own a lot. was funny you wouldnt pay til you left.
I remember once was with aunt and cousin . tried to say I was going upstairs to get something turned into a lesson, they repeated it like 5 x at least , in the end I just gave up (akkusativ re change of location) so you have sein instead of haben because of movement, then that changes all the verb endings as well ha ha I still dont know it. However, sometimes I am surprised at what I can still recall after 23 years of not using it lol.
Funny, was told oh everyone has perfect English . Not. not if you grew up in DDR for example, or some people who didnt just refused, they were worried they would make mistakes I suppose. Had a language teacher I used to play games with. She was Polish I think. she used to quiz me on irregular English verbs and English pronunciation of French words used in English. The Germans always use French pronunciation of French words in English , just wrong for the common ones .
I should do German again , even if just for my brain. Would also like to do Year 12 maths again one day. I was put in lower single unit maths in matric which I ran away from twice with midyears approaching.
in first year at uni, I did whatever I was allowed to, which was anything without pre -reqs, did Information Science, got HD, D, then had to change as hit real conceptual brick wall with programming and I had no background in it.
did no assumed knowledge catch up maths for science students basically ( I was Arts.) but had really good lecturer who loved the subject and loved teaching it, so ended up w semi spoon-food equiv of yr 12 Maths 1 & 2. However, enrolled in real 1st year stuff year after and only just passed, was completely different level, never seen before, were getting new things thrown at me when still didnt get old ones , despite spending as much time on that as all other subjects and seeing a tutor.
Anyways, took up History instead of other stuff, changed unis to get rid of sub-major problem etc , did a subject in Linguistics, was basic level, but loved it.
The End
@ Tab age 61 ha ha lol
2 years after uni , gave up applying for white collar jobs, was back helping sisters husband building houses, then couple years later went to mines with my trade.
