Ohh. @Appleblossom I got that eventually. Guess thats one way of working out 'types' re strangers.

there were kids who came and went at primary school .. talked of alcoholic fathers having to lie in bath to feel better. Had patches in c lothes, wrong uniform jumpers.. sometimes bad teeth and smelled ok they were there the whole time, a large poor family. I would repeat what heard at home judging them and get in trouble for it til learnt to shut my mouth. I was much different to them. Clothes still patched hand me downs, guess ate better. Perk of being on farm

I get your dad was not a piece of cake. @TAB  but farms have their benefits.  I valued visiting one as working holiday when I was 12 - 15.  My father not alcoholic.  In Repat, before he died, but probably more damaged by childhood physical, emotional and sex abuse in institution than the war. 

 Sometimes I was moved by system and sometimes moved by parents, and once I was "adamant" it said in my file, that I preferred the orphanage to another violent foster father.  Gotta be careful what goes on behind closed doors.  I was 8, what did I know ... lol.

Saw on youtube that the Dutch were leasing German tanks and planning to give them to Ukraine ... @TAB so must have gotten over WWII, but sadly the big guys are at it again with slightly different borders .... 

partly why I am wary about over use of the new MH buzzword ... boundaries ...need bridges too ... but uhuh they can get blown up I guess ... no easy answers to getting along and playing nicely.

Um yes war hard to ignore @Appleblossom  Nato esp Germany def caught w pants down and still not doing much. Russians would be half way to Paris now if not for Ukraine

It is weird having official files to read about family instead of family. @TAB 

For me things blur together, I can have trouble distinguishing public and private which many people take for granted, but a plus side is I see the psychosocial ....
