Hi @StuF hope work went well for you and it's a job you like.
I'm back to the drawing board with looking for work. I work as a locum but would really like something permanent part time.
Enjoy your afternoon and evening won't you.

It must make you feel awful having interrupted sleep @Former-Member I have been an insomniac in the past, but meds usually knock me out but however since covid had broken sleep. But now sleep deeply on my earthing mat. You get deep rejuvenating sleep with an earthing mat - it resets your circaidian rhythms. I'm just grateful my sleep is so deep and restful again which it had not been in a while.
I will look up the 40 minutes walking challenge you tube video, thanks for that! I don't know how to increase the amount of walking I'm doing but will try the 20 minute challenge instead 🙂
There are some good brands of probiotics out there. I usually buy from e-bay. There was lots of talk on gut health on those summits years ago and thats where I learned you buy a 13+ multistrain for diversity. The other cheaper brands don't deliver the results you need. Recently I have swapped probiotics for less strains and still got good results.
I have heard of psychiatrists mentioning for us to chew gum to stop the hunger. It works to a degree. That is what happened to me on the "Big L" med when I was first diagnosed! Ravenous hunger!

Its understandable @TAB I get stressed over things from time to time. I meditate to try and mitigate it. Yes re: heart. Its a concern. One last thing you need to worry about. Sounds like you need some self soothing to find your center again. What do you normally do when situations like this arise? Can you dissipate it somehow? When my life becomes unbelievably toxic I use a toolkit of strategies to fall back on

Thanks @Former-Member
The job is quite good...very good in some ways. But very part time- I do roughly 6 hours a week over 2 days...ideally I'd double that. New boss started this week, she seems nice enough. And sounding proactive so hopefully I can expand what I do and how many hours I do it for.
Also still casual. I've been there way too long to not be permanent part time, but the flexibility has been good on occasion and the rate is great.
I hope you find something suitable work wise.
You have a great evening too
