Look she only got that autograph from Simon Le Bon because I did a page or so of extra PLEASE's contributions for her. Simon Le Bon loved my handwriting, it was all about ME-ME-ME! lol 😍

Only joking @TAB LOL. I don't know how many reams of paper she went though however - she was really keen on an autograph though. Duran Duran were like rock Gods when we were growing up

There was quite a lot of paper @TAB don't know how much she went through but she got her autograph in the end. Probably Simon Le Bon thought she put in so much effort it must have been worth something! LOL

I’m just going to try and relax today because I’m feeling stressed and anxious about starting Tafe on Monday. Last night, I had a crash of confidence in a major way to the point of me questioning if I should even do the course because I’ve failed to complete the course in the past. I felt like life wasn’t worth it and that there was no good in me starting it again. I’ve since woken up to a new day and am feeling slightly better but I know that my thinking is normal for me when I feel under pressure and out of control so I’m lucky I have this self awareness and can act on these thoughts and see them for what they are. I had an appointment yesterday with a counsellor from Tafe and she is going to call me each week to check in on me for the duration of the course so we can work on any issues I may be having as well as life in general which is good. That’s given me some hope that I might actually not quit the course as I’ll have her to help me through my problems which is a good sign. I’ve also email my psychologist last night to let him know about this recent development as well and I’ll be talking to him next weekend.
Take care!

Hi @Judi9877
I am glad you are going to TAFE and that you have seen a counsellor about your difficulties - that is a good idea
I am all for education - I kept at it until I finished a course at TAFE and I know how difficult it can be - I was at university for 12 years studying part-time and had so many life problems during those years - I had to work too and had a family so it was a real battle at times
But worth it.
And you do have self-awareness - that is a great asset when you feel over-powered and under pressure. Life is like that.
But there is good in you - I have not been in the forum much recently and I am only starting to catch up with people but I know you are a caring person - so feeling that there is no good in you is a feeling and not the truth.
I do wish you the best - I studying formally for most of my life and know it was the best thing I did to keep me going - I was a better mother for it though people kept telling me it was too much. They were wrong
Now - years later - decades later - every day of my life is enhanced because of my self-motivated education and I still spend time on-line learning anything that interests me.
All the struggle is worth it - it does make life worthwhile
