Zigi arrives in the Whimsy Community
The Whimsy Community had seen its share of quirky arrivals — AuntGlow’s grand entrance complete with tap-dancing, Ru-bee’s pollen parade, and the time Judge Tyme accidentally hosted a court session in the middle of the town square.
But no one was quite prepared for Zigi.
Zigi was a small chihuahua with Scrappy-Doo energy — chest puffed out, tail wagging like a victory flag, and a sparkle in her eye that spelled trouble. She arrived at Whimsy’s Welcome Archway dragging a suitcase bigger than herself, announcing:
“Where can I set up my glitter cannon?”
Zigi and her glitter cannon
Ainjoule, the angelic white chihuahua with a halo, nearly dropped her cup of peppermint tea.
“Uh… glitter cannon?”
Within hours, Zigi had:
Convinced Rav3n to join her in a rooftop ‘caw-off’ competition.
Added an extra surprise dance break into AuntGlow’s theatre rehearsal.
Repainted Judge Tyme’s courthouse sign to read “Judgement-ish”.
Ainjoule tried to keep her halo straight and wings unruffled, but Zigi had a way of pulling her into mischief. Soon, Ainjoule found herself racing through the Whimsy gardens with Zigi in a glitter-fueled treasure hunt, giggling harder than she had in months.
Zigi didn’t just bring chaos — she brought connection.
She organised Friendship Feasts in the park, where Ru-bee’s honey biscuits became the talk of the town.
She started Story Swap Nights, where everyone told the most ridiculous tales they could think of.
She even declared a No Grumps Day, where any frown was immediately stickered with a smiley face.
And though she’d never admit it outright, Zigi made sure Ainjoule was always at the heart of it all.
One morning, Zigi announced she’d be travelling to “spread Whimsy spirit” elsewhere. The news hit harder than anyone expected — especially Ainjoule.
On her last evening, the whole Whimsy Community gathered in the town square. Judge Tyme gave a dramatic farewell speech (“Order in the heart!”), AuntGlow led a soft-shoe dance, and Ru-bee buzzed overhead in formation.
Ainjoule stepped forward, wings trembling, and said:
“You came here like a storm, Zigi… but you left us with sunshine.”
Zigi's farewell parade
As Zigi trotted away with her suitcase, she winked over her shoulder.
And in the Whimsy gardens, weeks later, Ainjoule still found stray bits of glitter in the grass — each one a tiny reminder that sometimes, the best kind of love is the kind that barges in unannounced, causes just enough mayhem, and leaves you smiling long after it’s gone.
Ainjoule is sad because Zigi is gone (but never forgotten)
