Well there was a long lead up time for me @greenpea ...but I'd been unwell for a long time too.
But then it all became very apparent and I ended up in a public ward (for the first time) and freaked the hell out!
(Chop Suey was the main System' song for me)

@greenpea I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy!
I am running out of notepaper writing all these awesome tunes down to save. This one is special. I had only heard Firestarter, Smack My Bitch Up and Breathe. I really like Narayan.
I'm not even bothering to offer up anything now, you guys have got it sorted!

@StuFshit! me too. i was in a public ward for a month and even then i was not properly diagnosed with schitzoaffective disorder for at least a year later. okay i was taken to the public ward when i took off my jumper leaving me with only a bra on in a bus because i thought i had been infected by a alian monster. my poor autistic son was with me at the time. my autistic son was the only one looking out for me at that stage.

First time it got really out of hand for me @greenpea , I was already in a private facility and said the wrong things to my psych (basically quoting Chop Suey with no context), she drugged me. Next thing I knew I was waking up while being admitted to the public ward from the back of an ambulance
Life gets messy, hey?

@StuF oh StuF you have to be careful of what you say to who. i said something once about hurting myself and the stupid worker was going to call the police. thank god my mental health nurse stepped in and explained this is what i say when i am depressed and it doesnt mean i will act upon it. life is messy i agree but we are strong and have come out the other end. battered and bruised but still here xxx
