A couple of months back, my city was inundated by butterflies. They covered half the state and the news called it "a beautiful plague". It was simply gorgeous to walk outside and have hundreds of black and white butterflies flying through the air! I am not sure exactly what type of butterflies they were but they came from the western parts (and in some cases central Australia) and spread to the coast. While they were here it was stunning!
