@Zoe7 funny story about bean bags, got my then 5yp help fill our kids ones up “mate are they going I can’t see past the bag” “oh…. no they arent” bean bag beans everywhere lol, why did I think that was a suitable activity

@tyme I cannot outsmart our oldest, he definitely knows a few things… do you know that he asked me if Santa was real on Christmas Eve?
We were both like well yeah of course he is, goodnight, and he was like… huh, well, it doesn’t make sense and we’re like yes it does, remember we saw him at the shops that day taking photos with people? goodnight 🤣

hahaha @ArraDreaming rookie mistake lol

I clip the sides to a draw and move a chair to clip the other side so the opening is visible - then it is a slow pour of the beans. I never get all of them in because they love to play tricks (ie the static helps them to 'wander') but it is the best method I have found over many years of emptying them to wash and then refilling. I usually bring them home twice a year because as we know - kids are little dirty, germ machines hahaha

Just had a very out of sorts Toby barking at the fireworks. I had to pick him up and cuddle and that eventually helped. They were so loud this year - felt like they were right on top of us.

@ArraDreaming @tyme I kept forgetting to move Elfy at school in the last week - told the kids that someone must have touched him so he won't move ...and you wouldn't dream it but anyone that HAD touched him owned up lol

Poor kids lol @Zoe7 . My niece came home and said, "the Elf is NOT real! I know because the door it is supposed to come out of was for sale at kmart!"

ROFL!!! HAhahahah. Good old Kmart is a teacher's heaven.

Anyway, thanks for the chat. I'm hopping off. I'm hoping that in an hour or so, I'll take another covid test. If it's clear, I'm outta the house!

@Zoe7 @tyme thanks for keeping me company, still feeling extremely unwell and got a cough now though which I’m hoping (tw - gross) is just me coughing up the tonsillitis gunk and not a whole new *experience*…..
tried to cancel our camping trip even though I know how devastated the kids would be they said no refunds or cancellations we can’t even on sell it that’s not allowed either so we are going and hopefully I’m well it’s not until the weekend though…

haha @ArraDreaming I'm used to gross being around kids all the time. Funny story (well I think it is) - one of my kids would come in every morning and blow her nose ...not just a little bit but she gave it a good go. We used to joke that the booger show had started lol I even showed her where the spare tissue boxes were (they were kept them in a cupboard in the toilet area for staff to get when needed) so she would simply replace the box when it was empty. She was the coolest kid and one I am very much going to miss this year.

I really hope you are okay by the weekend. If not great, the fresh air might help🤞. I am sure the kids are looking forward to it.
