im not going back to heavy intensity at this stage anyway @Shaz51 with all my medical issues its to much risk for myself and my clients so have to start building some new clientelle that doesnt involve hoists etc now

Never done a salvage project like this before. Owned by the property’s first caretaker, built by his son in the 1960s. This workbench is made from rough cut Jarrah sleepers.

When I arrived here it was sitting in filth and full of Black mould. Had no wheels and had been pushed aside.

In 10 weeks I salvaged the original timber. Killed the mould and planed the top boards.
Two of the top boards were completely rotted and will be replaced with newer salvaged Jarrah.

I hand chiseled the recesses for the wheel plates

Here she stands, Old Mate’s workbench almost finished. 
Yes they are horse saddles in the back ground.
