hmm colour wise would you happen to have a slightly darker green? a green would look really nice. by looking at the pic it looks like each section though is 2 of the same sort of colour (like a light and dark shade) so was thinking maybe the light green and a darker shade of green to keep in with that sort of scheme?

as for the straight edges i think its just practice. that pic that i uploaded is the first blanket they required straight edging and it seemed to just be about placement at the ends to keep it straighter.

hmm about typing under the pic, i tend to make the pic abit smaller then theres a spot underneath to click and should make a new line to start typing.

I don't crochet but I used to knit; my hands can't cope these days. I had a go at crochet in my 20's but I didn't have anyone to learn from so I gave up; I prefer to sew.

All the beautiful colours of your projects really brighten up the forum. 🌈 I've found a pic of the dress I made, but it doesn't do it justice. It looked far better on me than on a hanger.

I don't know why it's sideways as it's fine when I open it up in another window. There doesn't seem to be a function to rotate it. Sorry guys...

What an accomplished dressmaker you are! I just thought I'd chime in with that, and also ask you if you feel comfortable having this image posted on the forums? The SANE Forums are an anonymous space so that people can feel comfortable sharing personal details about their lives knowing that they cannot be identified by others who know them. It may be something to consider when choosing which craft/sewing projects to share with forum friends.

That's a beautiful dress @Hope4me 😊💗 I'd love to be able to sew properly but I don't do measuring and precision well enough to and kind of just play when I'm near a machine. Thanks for sharing it with us ❤

I started sewing for my dolls when I was a little girl. I took it as an elective at school as there wasn't anyone in my family who sewed.

Re your sewing ability? I think you make up for it big time with your crochet! Have you had a go at making clothes? I found this over-top (on Google images) I thought might be very adaptable for Winter or Spring; a great big square, sewn down the sides to create armholes and the neckline could be any size you like too.

Thanks @Hope4me 🙂 I haven't crocheted clothes aside from socks and slippers because I'm worried about them breaking. I've crocheted all kinds of other things though (mostly toys and blankets of different kinds). The last few days I've been looking at 'freeform crochet' as my new little thing possibly. Endless creations there! Love the top above and if I was to crochet clothes I think it would be something like that 🙂
