Re: Christian Chat

Thanks @Realness You obviously know much more about computers than me. I couldn't find the drafts! It's okay though as I replied again.

How are you today? Say hi to your mum (if she knows you're on SANE and you feel comfortable with it) Is she a Christian? 💚

Re: Christian Chat

Hi @heartathome ,

I mowed the lawn today. Mum gave the back lawn some lawn feeder a few weeks ago. Now it is ridiculously thick and grows ridiculously fast. Ideally would need cutting every three days which is too often. I think I emptied the grass catcher five times there was so much grass.

Yesterday I enrolled in a theology subject from a theology college. Totally online and six months to complete. I completed one subject before in 2020.

Mum grew up going to church but stopped going when she grew up. Same with Dad. She took us briefly when I was in 6th grade but wasn't impressed. Too much gossip. It didn't grab me either at that time.

Time to go and read John. 🙂

How's your day going?

Hi friends how is life treating you? As for myself, apart of depression and the remaining nausea, my life has been so very much better.

I am sooo glad to hear this!! @DownMoreThanUp

What do you think has helped you to feel more regulated as of late?

You should be so proud of all the work you have done to understand, support, and heal your alters - this is huge. 💛

Do you have any updates regarding your medications and mood? I would love to hear how you have been feeling over the past week?

Please forgive me if I missed anything!!

Also, hello! @Realness @heartathome @Appleblossom @ENKELI How are you all feeling this week? 🫶

Hey @DownMoreThanUp , sorry, just saw this. Was it resolved? I think the picture was approved? Let me know if you there are still any issues.

Re: Christian Chat

Hello @Realness

Wow. You must be exhausted after mowing the lawn! I gave up mowing my lawn when the lawnmower kept dropping down, leaving ufo marks all over the yard! I sat in the gutter, cried, got up and rang someone else to do the job from then on! It's a shame you can't do it with the catcher off, but it does look a bit messier though. How often do you have to do it?

Studying theology sounds hard but interesting. What subject have you enrolled in? How often will you work on it? What subject did you complete in 2020?

I've never been much into gossip. It's usually negative about someone and I don't like that. I like the idea of woman supporting one another. 💚

Today, I've organised to go away tomorrow. I only made up my mind this morning. The spontaneity is very unlike me! I'm meeting up with a friend. We're meeting halfway which is about three hours away. I'm going by train and staying in a motel. It should be a good catch up.

I'm good at the moment, thanks for asking @AuntGlow My week has had its ups and downs (like everyone) but nothing I couldn't handle. Always trying to balance out social outings with down time. It's lovely seeing you drop in on us! 💚

Re: Christian Chat

Hi @heartathome , @DownMoreThanUp , @Appleblossom , @ENKELI , @AlwaysMyself , @REDLINEZ750 , @MissGremlin ,

John 11

- Lazarus very ill.

- Jesus waits two days before He goes to them. Lazarus dead four days when He arrives.

- Jesus talks with Martha and then Mary.

- Jesus weeps when shown the burial place.

- Jesus prays and shouts, "Lazarus, come out!"

- Lazarus is alive!

- Chief Priests and Pharisees plotting against Jesus.

- Jesus retreats to Ephraim wilderness.

- People are starting to gather for the Passover. Suspense over whether Jesus will come.

There's a special love between Jesus and Lazarus, Martha and Mary. In the past, when I have read this chapter, I have always felt a bit frustrated with Jesus for not going straight away. Today I was more in line with God's timing. Jesus raising Lazarus from death was an important miracle for the disciples, for the Jerusalem Jews visiting Martha and Mary and also the Chief Priests and Pharisees who would bring about the fulfilment of Christ's suffering.

Re: Christian Chat

Hi @heartathome ,

I usually do the lawn maybe every two weeks. The front doesn't grow so much as accumulate leaves - it's more like a vacuum than a cut. The back, since the lawn feed, grows too much during this time. We'll never give grass lawn feed again - much too high maintenance.

I enrolled for an Old Testament course - on the first five books of the Old Testament. Previously I finished a subject which was an overview of the whole Bible. I like this course because it is completely online and affordable. $50 a subject. 10 chapters to the study to be completed within six months.

I would have preferred to study something in mental health but couldn't find a course which was completely online with the same flexibility and affordability. When I used study search tools it directed me to the Cert III or Cert IV at TAFE which contains a practical component and even part time would be too demanding.

How exciting to be going away tomorrow! Is it just for the one night? I hope you have a wonderful catch up with your friend.

Re: Christian Chat

Hi @AuntGlow ,

Thanks for dropping in. Isn't @DownMoreThanUp 's self-work amazing!

Life continues at a gentle pace. Nothing exciting but nothing negative either. I believe there is a saying, "No news is good news." It's a bit like that.

Re: Christian Chat

Good to see you @Realness . How was your day today?

Re: Christian Chat

Hi @tyme ,

It's been a pretty good day. I was a bit slow to get out of bed but I went straight to my goal of mowing the lawn when I did. Both the front and back lawns look much better.

The highlight of my day is usually my scripture reading. It almost always takes me to a nice place.

I'm so thankful for this Forum and especially this Christian Chat within it. Not only is there the opportunity to share what I have been reading but the gentle fellowship is encouraging.

A huge thanks to @heartathome , @DownMoreThanUp , @Appleblossom and @ENKELI for keeping it going.
