I'm doing okay @Shaz51, not great, but okay. All part of the process I guess.
The best of luck to you and Mr Shaz with Friday's result. Hopefully some good news for you both.

Sorry to hear you're not doing great today @Healandlove. Grief in itself is very hard, but dealing with a number of them at the same time just multiplies the pain and sadness. We're here with you, helping you through.
I completely understand what you said about different forms of grief, not just for people who have passed. I've often though that I grieve for kids and a family that I never had. They never existed outside of my head, but I miss them like they were real and I lost them. I also think I grieve for all of the lost time with my biological family and the closer relationships I could have had with them decades ago. The pain and sadness is there just as for any other form of grief.
The grief for you husband as he was, would be particularly hard. He's still here with you, but different. It reminds me, in a way, of my grandfather who ended up with bad dementia. I was young at the time, but I still remember seeing him, remember all those years knowing him and how he was. I could then still see him sitting there... it was him, but the person inside, the one I knew was gone 😞

@rav3n hey Rav3n, so nice to see you. Thanks for the tag. Life is still ups and downs coping with MI and looking after mum and good friend who has autism. Work distracts so it's good. Hope you have been well. Take car
