@Gremlin24 15 years?!?!? 😮 what the heck that's so cruel of them 😞 even for them to say that it's because you can afford a private rental too, when in reality you can't?!? why do landlords need to treat us vulnerable individuals like we're robots?? and to them we're literally useless in society 😞
I'm really sorry that you went through this, I do hope that you'd be able to find somewhere safe to live. I pray that you'll end up finding a house/apartment/government housing to live in, and that you won't need to be in the tent forever because living in a tent must be so hard for you and others that are also living in a tent 😞 You're so strong, and you got this. Sending you virtual hugs along the way and thinking of you ❤️

@rav3n yes it's a little win.
I never got into make-up. I used to have fun painting my nails cos they grow fast and get really long. But I don't have time for that anymore and I hate waiting for the nail polish to dry 😂.
My hair is curly when it first dries but then goes frizzy when I brush it. I used to sit on it when I was in school but I got teased so much for having long hair so I got it cut to shoulder length and it's never really grown back. It's halfway down my back now and that's when it's up in a pony.

@Blackcloud i was shocked when the lady said that. When I first signed up for government housing i was told it's a 10 year wait, over 15 years later and I've never been offered one house. It's such a horrible situation 😞.
I don't think i could even live in a tent, it's not really an option. Thankyou, it means alot ♥️

@rav3n honestly, the only time I would be capable enough of attending and wanting to attend work/volunteer/school -- either one of those would be if I was in a place where every single person there would be kind and welcoming to me at all times, without having at least one person ever irking me xD I know this kind of mindset is not ideal in the real world but again I'm someone who really wants that kind of welcoming and belonging type of support from literally every single person in any place that I go to, especially in the hopes that they'd be respectful of my conditions based on what they see in me.
anyways, I'm genuinely hoping that any roles within the disability sector would have managers that are more understanding and nicer compared to the management in every other workplace that only sees their employees as a number (in terms of when they would have to yell/be brutally honest at their employees making employees feel like crap), cause in that case I would love to be able to work in that sector if that's true. I cannot stand being at a workplace where managers have to give me critics, and even at times yelling at me or say something that would easily upset me when I'm doing something wrong. That to me is toxic from an employee's perspective.
in terms of what movie we're gonna watch, it'll have to depend on me or the other participant when we get to choose which movies either them or I would like to watch tomorrow at the cinemas.

@Gremlin24 society has indeed messed up a lot of vulnerable individuals on this planet earth. People who have been through so much for so many years have a lot of my respect, since they’ve all fought through their lives to wanting to have a better life for so long too ❤️ only to end up not getting the outcome that they deserve..
If only we live in a world where every single person in every single countries would be treated fairly and equally, as well as if the governments in all countries care about their citizens to a great extent, then no one would have to end up suffering like this - emotionally, mentally, physically, etc.
its even harder when we don’t even have anyone in real life that we’re close and comfortable with for us to live in their houses either, just to provide us what we need and for us to save our money from having to pay rent

Hugs @PeppyPatti ,
Despite you 'running away from SANE 3-4 years ago', the testimonial is that you have returned. THe time you spent away would have been a learning for you, and that is invaluable.
Sometimes, we see members pop on, and then hop off, and that's totally okay. Our life experiences are always changings and often, we can celebrate that some people have found their place in the real world enough not to need the forums anymore. And when they want, they can return.
This does not mean that the people who continue to utilise these forums are 'broken' or 'lonely' or 'no hopers'. Rather, we have found a connection here that we continue to thrive on in a way that works for us.
@PeppyPatti . Hugs to you. We are continually celebrating your journey together with us and feel privileged to be able to connect with you.
Keep being the AMAZING you!
