I have a routine
Washing takes 36 minutes typically, so I go get my coffee and see my favourite barista who knows my order and my name and is typically very pleasant to talk to.
Then I go to the op shop and talk to the two volunteers there, one that is quiet and the other that has no filter and a bad memory who every week asks me about the public transport when I actually drive there.
By this time the washing is done and I go and transfer it to the dryer for 32 minutes in which I then go to the fruit and vegetable store that has high end produce and fancy schmancy stuff where I get something on clearance like rice paper rolls for dinner and reorganise the clearance section.
After that I go to the gift store and get a new deck of cards or some hardware thing and the lady there has started to actually appreciate my knowledge into the quirky gift world.
I will then fetch my scripts from the chemist if I need any and go get my clothes from the dryer.

@avant-garde ok first of all I'm exhausted by just reading what you get done in that short period of time 🤣. Secondly I'm impressed with how well organised you are and that you know what you are doing and just go and get it done.
Op shop volunteers are some of the nicest people to chat to, love how you say ones quiet and one has no filter, really just shows how we all have different personalities.
You sound like me, when I go to the shops and if a certain area is messy I'll stand there and tidy things up until it looks neat. I also find things that have been put in wrong places and take them back to where they belong.
I love how organised you are and could imagine it would be frustrating when things are thrown out of whack like someone hogging all the machines.

@Gremlin24 they say I should volunteer there but it's too high risk for me given some of the people in the community, it is my kind of job though, also can't be on my feet for hours at a time.
Dinner tonight was bbq pork Bahn mi that I paid $5 for and got some strawberries for $2 also. Today's deck is whisky themed playing cards, they're putting an order in for the garden themed ones to complete my set. I almost have all the gentlemen's hardware decks now, they didn't know about the bbq or the garden ones.
The no filter volunteer was taking the garbage out as I drove past and so I beeped at her after telling her the type of car I drive and so maybe now she'll actually remember!
I actually find it a lot easier to strike up conversation with people in the community and in my day to day than I do with people at church.

@avant-garde volunteer work is very rewarding. I'm the same with not being able to be on my feet for long periods of time.
Dinner sounds yummy, and strawberries aswell, delicious. I love collecting different decks of cards, I have so many but they are scattered throughout my house so trying to find some when I want to play is almost impossible.
You never know maybe now she will actually remember or maybe she just thought you were some random trying to get her attention 🤣
It's funny how some people we can talk to easily whereas others it's harder.

I have over 400 different decks of playing cards. Old tape cassette things actually fit most decks perfectly, I shall take a photo of mine, the rest are in storage.

@avant-garde wow that's impressive. I would probably only have around 50 different sets floating around. Never thought of using cassette cases to store them though so that's a great idea.

@Glisten I don't know that she has a disorder, I think she's just a bitch. She doesn't like to work at relationships, I should have seen that in her relationships with her father from whom she was estranged and her ex husband. She didn't want to have to work at anything so she didn't.
Reading that article though I think she might fit into the vulnerable narcissist category.
Either way she is the loser. And so are the kids.
