It sounds like it's been a tough day for you. We're here if you want to talk about it, or take your mind off those memories. Do you have anything there to do to take your mind off of it and focused on something else? Maybe that would help with the shaking.

@MJG017 I can't say the day got better... I got told how to recover from another trauma survivor... felt judged, not far enough and I couldn't get a word in edge ways... I didn't need guidance in my recovery I was looking for support with the police...
And to add insult to injury she told me the church was right to tell me to use my redress to pay for accommodation when I was homeless...
I just feel hurt, misunderstood and more alone than I expected...
It was meant to be a meet and greet and all I got was a lecture...

@avant-garde oh that sounds horrible. I'm sorry you had to experience that. I hate when you need support but instead you get judged and get a lecture.
Know that you aren't alone here and we are always here to listen and support you. Sending you big hugs ❤️.

I'm sorry you had to deal with all of that. Some people just don't see outside of their own experiences and think the have the answers for everyone. Its clear why you would feel the way you do about it all, and completely unhelpful and unfair on you. It just shows a complete lack of understanding all round with the redress. It's definitely not the sort of thing you expect at a meet and greet.
