@PeppyPatti Goddaughter was and no doubt still is wrapped up in her mother. Godson was a people pleaser. He would say what his mother and sister wanted him to say but with me he was honest because he knew I was his safe haven.
This all happened 20 months ago, I am on the other side now, finally clean. I miss my Godson desperately and pray for him regularly. I miss my Goddaughter but not the bitchy brat her mother turned her in to the last 12 months we were together. I pray for her also.
I pray for ex friend and have forgiven, however it's a daily thing, like being an addict. It's one day at a time and some days I don't feel like forgiving. And that's okay.
I am at peace but know the bumps in the road will happen and I will cry and miss the kids. And want to cause not nice things to happen to their mother.
I am going to get a tattoo to celebrate being clean in April. By then it will have been 2 years since I fell apart and came back to tell the tale.
And I've no doubt there will be more Sane plants in my yard by then too 😁

@ENKELI congratulations on being clean for 2 years! That is so wonderful! I hope one day your godson comes back to you. Perhaps when they are adults and can think for themselves. I send you hugs. And I admire your strength and ability to accept the situation whilst still giving yourself room to grieve.

@avant-garde arghh that's very frustrating! I wish people were more considerate. This person could have left at least one machine unoccupied!
By the sounds of your yummy dinner you were able to turn the day around to a positive. And it's so nice you have a routine. Like you, I sometimes find it easier to talk to people at the shops than my own neighbours.
Volunteers are the best. I love the Lifeline ones at the bookstores. I go there often for a bargain and also donate books often. 🥰

@Shaz51 hi shazzy my sister, hope you had a lovely Saturday. Mine was ok taking the kids to a playdate with a friend and then some book shopping with the kids. I do love that they love books.
Sending you hugs 🫂 🤗 ❤️
yesterday
@Healandlove I have so so so many books! And more digital books! I don't need anymore books... but when you get a voucher for a decent bookstore... yes I bought more books... makes me think of the one I want to look at first to take to church tomorrow... How Can We Help Victims of Trauma and Abuse? (A Christian book written for the church)
yesterday
@avant-garde i might not have an impressive card deck collection as you do but i have over 1100 DVDs. I can never complain that I don't have something to watch, although I still do 🤣
yesterday
@Healandlove thank you. Yes I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I no longer grieve every day and the loss doesn't affect me as it once did.
💜💐
